Just applied!

I'll give it a go!

Also, I checked google maps and found tout that there is a Whole Foods three blocks from the office. I was thinking about going there in the morning and picking up some prepared oatmeal for breakfast and a prepared salad for lunch every day and avoiding whatever they have catered. I also found some lunch places with…

Thanks! Fortunately, the hotel I'm staying has an amazing gym and I will be able to go to Zumba or cycling every day I'm there. As for your suggestion to bring healthy additions - is that weird or frowned upon? Or should I just eat half a salad and then eat my healthy option when I get home?

Oooh, good idea! I hope they have spaghetti squash - then I will definitely have a healthy option. So smart!

I didn't even think about the soup! Maybe they'll have something like minestrone and I can have that with a salad. My main concern is that lunch will likely be carb heavy, so I need to keep it as light as possible for dinner. I usually like to have a lighter lunch (read: salads every day) and a really yummy more calorie…

I will definitely call ahead and see if they can help me out with calorie counts and perhaps other (off-menu) options. I have to say, I've never had a decent special made meal when I tell them about my dietary restrictions. Last time - about two weeks ago - I ended up with a lettuce and cheese sandwich. I couldn't believe…

My initial goal is 50 pounds. Planning on re-evaluating that the closer I get to it (whether I need to lose more or if that is good enough). Anyone can feel free to add me!

Thanks, everyone! I think I will either change my activity level or leave it as is and not beat myself up if I go slightly over my calories.

Bumping for responses

I'd like to join if you're still taking people!

I'm interested!

Nope, you don't need to cook it. I usually eat it cold (so it's like a pudding), but you can absolutely heat it up, if you like hot/warm oatmeal!

Challenge CLOSED last week.

PLEASE READ: Sorry, the group is closed. I received too many requests and can't handle all of them. I limited it to 50 people as more would be too much for me. I have sent group invitations to the first people.

Wow, I had no idea there would be so much interest! I think we're going to have to cut it off at the number of people we have now, otherwise it's going to become unmanageable. I think I will start a MFP group and send invitations to everyone who has added me and posted the information to this thread. Let's get ready for…

I've been pinning some of the recipes I've found to pinterest if anyone wants ideas: http://pinterest.com/palak1020/vegetarian-recipes/ Also, please share any recipes you have!

You'll have to add everything as a recipe and then add to your diary (click on the food tab, then click on recipes, and input recipe). The difficulty with homemade Indian food is that we rarely measure anything (a handful of this, a pinch of that), so you'll have to actually measure everything out and use the measurements…

Actually, my lunch from yesterday was a recipe of that blog - the butternut squash and black bean burritos! The only problem is that after I input the recipe into MFP, I saw how high in calories it was, so I'm not 100% sure about that source. I have pinned a couple of recipes from the blog, but I'll be entering them into…

Oh, and pescetarians too!

I do something similar, except I add oats and have it for breakfast. I take 1/2 tbsp of chia seeds, 1/2 cup of oats, 1 packet splenda, and 1 cup chocolate almond milk, mix it all up in some tupperware, pop it in the fridge overnight and grab this bowl of deliciousness as I run out the door in the mornings. It's basically…
