8.5 lbs since the beginning of January actually sounds 10000% perfect. Total success. That's 12 weeks so you're a little less than 1 lb a week, which is perfection. If you want to keep the weight OFF then you need to do it slowly

Hmm....no Goodwill or Salvation Army near you at all?? Are you on Facebook at all? I'd make a post asking if people have what you're looking for and see if anyone's looking to seel clothes they aren't wearing. Otherwise, I'd drive to the closest large goodwill store - it would be worth the drive! :)

I eat like a FIEND when I PMS. I just can't help it. Fortunately, I always drop the weight I put on as soon as my period is over....so for me it's no big deal. It doesn't affect how my clothes fit or my maintenance weight or anything. I just go with it :) Hormones suck!

I also have PCOS and Hypothyroidism. They do NOT make weight loss next to impossible. If they are controlled you can lose weight just like anyone else. Yeah a HR monitor would be your best bet. I'm at 150 and if I run 3 miles at a 10:15 pace I burn about 340, so that equation above is off for me. My HR stays generally in the 165-170 zone for my runs and I tend to burn 12-13 cal/minute

omg me - screw the whole eating clean thing. I definitely DO eat less processed food than I did before and eat way more fruits and veggies but I still enjoy all my snacks and throw in boxed/mixes for things too I'm down 60 lbs and I ONLY look at calories - don't look at macros much either.

Are you kidding?? I eat cheese almost EVERY. FREAKING. DAY. and I've lost 50 lbs in 7 months. Eat the damn cheese and just MEASURE IT - it's like 110 calories.

Ok, at 5'6" and 247, just MOVE. It doesn't matter WHAT you do. If you eat with a caloric deficit, even if you don't do ANY exercise, the weight is going to come off of you.
