  • My mini goal is to lose 30lbs for my trip to Florida at the end of March. Another 50 to go after that--at least!
  • I just had my first baby in early February. I'm trying to slowly get back into healthy eating habits. I didn't gain much weight during pregnancy and was down 25lbs within a week of giving birth, but it's slowly creeping back in. I want to keep my progress and make more so I can feel good and be able to keep up with my…
  • My fiancee is guiding me, as he's done it before with great success. My focus is a little more simple: cut way back on carbs and stay around 1500 cals. So far so good, I've lost 4 lbs in less than a week.
  • There is a little room to let out the material, and it does fit, it's just a little snug. And that was trying it on without any slimmers underneath. My worry is that they'd have to take it in a lot more if I ordered a size bigger and then lost some weight. I'd only need to lose maybe 20 lbs to have it fit a little looser.
  • I'm on day 3 of Keto myself. The Fiance and I are trying to take off some lbs before we get married in October. It's been really tough, as all my favorite foods are sugar/carbs
  • The one I'm having issues with is a WW scale. I have a super cheapy one I left at my parents', but I thought the fancy one would be more accurate. Joke's on me!
  • I'm blown away by the responses to my post! I want to thank everyone for their feedback. I've been enjoying watching the conversation evolve. Many of you understood where I'm coming from, and I appreciate your thoughts. Many of you completely misconstrued what I intended to say (and that's my fault for not being clear) and…
  • I appreciate the different perspectives. My issue is not with the idea that being obese puts you at greater risk for health problems. I get that. My issue is with the judgement that comes with it. The research is sound, but people take the research, stating what could happen, and take it into terms of the absolute. I'm not…
  • I'm not saying being Obese isn't a risk. I myself am obese and trying to lose weight. I'm under no delusions that there are zero health risks associated. I'm just seeing too much stuff lately that basically says "YOU NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT OR YOU'LL DIE!" I'm not getting my point across well, and that's my own fault. My issue…
  • I'm not even talking about physical fitness--though you're right, it's all on a case-by-case basis. I'm talking about BP, Cholesterol, heart rate, all that jazz. If all that is in acceptable ranges, how do you not qualify as healthy?
  • Way to go! My friend and I are meeting up tomorrow to walk a 5-mile loop in my town. Hopefully that'll kick-start some results.
