I also recommend that you seek help. BED is a real thing, and it really sounds like you could have that going on. In the meantime, stop the fasting cycle immediately. Your blood sugar alone will cause you to binge at that point, and add low blood pressure on top of that.... PLAN to eat at least at maintenance, or maybe 200…

Bodyweight exercises! Just search it on Pinterest, there's TONS of lists on there for every fitness level.

I had (a completely different) surgery over the summer and couldn't exercise for 3 months. I was so upset at first bc I have always relied on exercise to lose weight (thereby eating whatever I wanted). However, I kept reading that a healthy diet is how to lose weight, while exercise is how to get in shape. So I changed my…

Same, they're a crap combination! I have tried the light box therapy combined with a good vitamin D supplement and while I wouldn't call it a miracle cure, it definitely helped.

Love this! I needed the laugh. I've been super busy and probably under eating until mid afternoon.... then for the past week, I've gone full werewolf every night. One day pizza, one day wings, one day beer... Oh well, back on the wagon... until Thanksgiving :)

I make air popped popcorn, spray it with a little cooking spray and sprinkle with whatever herb/spice blend I'm craving. This weekend was Old Bay. :)

Maybe look for one of the Binge Eating groups on here, they're very supportive! I have a binge-eating problem too and its something I'm working on with a counselor. Honestly, one of the most helpful things I've ever heard is this: if its a trigger food for you, just avoid it. I know this is contrary to the currently…

You found the right group here :) Many of us probably could have written your post or something pretty similar. I'm glad to hear you are taking the steps of putting a name on the issue, looking for a therapist and seeking support. Those are HUGE steps, so you should be proud of yourself. There are lots of resources here…

Actually I'd say I broke even on this. I did get in the cake, and stood there picking away at it as the "binge brain" started taking over.... until I literally shook my whole body and took it right out the door and dropped the rest in the dumpster. Whew!

Sadly, really watching alcohol intake is one of the most effective things for me with this. lol, I'd rather give up just about anything else!

First, I'm sorry you're feeling this way. There are MANY people here who really understand, and really care. I recommend you find a different counselor. The one you're seeing may be an great therapist, and you may have a great relationship with him/her, but their method is clearly not 'clicking' with you. And this level of…

Many good suggestions above! Definitely want to talk to your doctor, maybe think about consulting an RD? (Especially one who specializes in gastroparesis.) I would recommend Dr Joel Furhman's "Eat to Live" to anyone (its tough to follow, IMO, but it is VERY healthy!). Focus on (healthy) fats to help you gain - avocadoes,…

You deserve to feel proud of yourself, that's an awesome accomplishment! :)

Great job guys! I love this thread, its very uplifting :) Today I'm proud that I have started telling a few close friends and family (and my therapist, finally!) about my binge-eating. Most of them didn't believe me at first because I'm not very heavy, but once I give them a brief description, they're shocked. It feels SO…

June 2014 Me - 12 The Binge - 3 I was doing great for a while, but blew it yesterday! :'( Back to the drawing board!

Hi TIUClare, I have been in this place before too. And I have learned that if I don't understand my reasons, its a lot harder for friends and family to understand either. I really recommend talking to a professional counselor or someone who can help you work toward finding the reason inside yourself. It REALLY helped me…

I am so deeply sorry for what you are going through. I lost both of my parents to cancer. It is very hard to give your weight-control effort the attention it deserves during this process, and especially to not use it as an escape mechanism from your pain. First, please know that there are many people here who truly feel…

Today I am proud of myself for eating 2 of my trigger foods and still managing to STOP myself before the binge took over!!!! I'm so excited for myself! :)

Pizza and wine! With a side of pizza and wine! :) Eating out is definitely what got me here, too. Its just so darn convenient!

Me - 5 Binge - 2 * I over-ate by quite a lot yesterday, but it definitely wasn't a binge, so I'm not counting it! :)

Oh I love this idea! Thank you for posting it, and good luck everyone! :) Me: 3 The Binge: 2

They're not typically considered a breakfast food by many people, but I love beans for breakfast :) I make bean burritos and freeze them individually, then just microwave them. Or if you don't have any frozen, they will only take a few minutes to throw together (using canned beans).

I'm starting over for the millionth time too! :) Wishing you good luck and good health!

definitely needed to read this today! Thank you! :)

My goal is also 0.5lbs per week! I just can't manage 1200 cals/day. Its SLOOOW going, and can be frustrating to see it bounce up and down just a few ounces week over week, but we'll get there! :)

Depends whether I want salty or sweet: 1 pc of whole wheat toast with either: 1 tbsp of PB and half a sliced banana OR 1 tbsp goat cheese and apple slices.
