[quote="kimny72;38545465" My comments were directed at the people saying that OP is a lazy, irresponsible, or even abusive parent for allowing her child to eat a Pop Tart. This thread has wandered far from what actually happened at this point. I agree that respecting a teacher is an important concept to instill, and I kind…

If you are eating a varied and nutritious diet, having an occasional Pop Tart is not unhealthy. She said she sends him in with other things. She never stated how often anything was sent; but…

My last post on this absurdity. Why with all the choices in the world, would you want to argue about the validity of feeding your child a food like product loaded with xenoestrogens, Yellow #5, Red 40 and TBHQ????? If you don't know what these are, then I suggest you google it. If these even a hint of a problem with a food…

What really shocks me is that we're discussing the healthiness of a Pop Tart on a MFP forum. I would assume that people who are concerned for their own health enough to be an active member would already know how unhealthy these are and if not, be more open minded and accepting to admit they could make better choices.

I guess I side with the minority. Some of the ingredients in PopTarts are derived from petroleum and have proven to be carcinogenic in nature. The teacher's not specifically saying bring fruit - she's saying bring something healthy. I'm old school, I believe the teacher has every right to stipulate what is and isn't allowed…

I think the struggle for me is the cold temperature. The only time I want cold is during extremely hot/humid weather, which amounts to 3-4 weeks around here. They say herbal teas count as water but to be honest I like me a hot, strong cup of Oolong tea...could easily down 10 per day but I limit to 1 and 1 cup of coffee.

JFT 8/31/2016 I've been sporadic at best with daily postings. This time of year is always chaotic in our home. The next few weeks will be transitioning into the Fall/Winter routines. It's a great time to start fresh....however, my goals always seem to be the same! *Kick off the day by getting at least 2/3 of my step goal…
