  • I'm "new again" and need motivating friends too! I keep over eating and am determined to stop myself from doing this!
  • To those saying I'm just having a hard time adjusting, my husband and I have been doing this for 3 months. I don't think adjusting is my problem as things were fine until the last few weeks. I think I've adjusted to it too much- a little OCD about it and am not happy with that. Thanks for the reminders to try new recipes.…
  • Height: 5' 4" Age/Gender: 33 / Female Highest weight- 140 lbs Current Weight- 111.8 lbs Current body fat - 22% Lowest weight- 110 lbs Goal weight - about what I'm at now- just need to swap fat for muscle. If be okay with weighing more if I'm more toned & smaller in measurements
  • If you aren't sure what activity level to choose, I would pick the lesser of the two and then log exercise and any activity above the level you selected, then eat back your expended calories. Ex: if you set it to sedentary, then I would log everything including cooking, because anything you do above sitting or lying around…
  • I know how you feel. I'm 5'4" 111-112lbs. My goal was 108-110, but just recently I decided that I'm comfortable with the number I see on the scale right now. But I'm not yet satisfied with how I look, so I'm going to try to maintain this current weight while strength training so I can hopefully tone up and lower my body…
  • 3,000 +. Ate a huge burrito at Moe's with chips, half a large size bag of peanut m&m's, and 4 Reese's big cups. Yum :-)
  • I'm not sure how accurate it is, but my scale at home says 23%bf. I'm not sure exactly what it was at the start of this round of losing, but I know at some point in the past it showed over 30%. Thanks for the cardio hr tip!
  • I'd say stick with your original goal and then see how you look & feel when you reach it. Then you can decide if you like it or want to lose a couple more pounds. Or you may reach that point before getting down to your original goal. As you get close to the end, it's a lot more about look/feel/clothing size & fitting than…
  • I was eating lower in the beginning, but lately have been eating 1500-1600 a day and usually have a "cheat" meal once or twice a week so my calories are higher on those days. I do some sort of exercise 5-6 days a week: Some upper body work with 10lb weights, lower body work with just body weight resistance(squats, leg…
  • Already tried antihistamines with no help. Thanks for the health tips on when it's safe to exercise! I think I'll take it easy today and then take a long walk tomorrow at a comfortable pace. I have to admit the whiskey plan sounds fun, lol!
  • Wanted to add that while my overall weight is low, I still have a lot of body fat to lose. Started this process with almost no muscle.
  • Thanks for all the replies! No, I haven't been to the doctor- dont feel bad enough to be willing to pay that bill :-) plus I haven't had a fever so I don't think it's anything serious. I was wondering about allergies but never get them and this started in the dead of winter- weird. It's just getting really annoying feeling…
  • What's your name? Brittney Where do you live? Indiana What are your food vices/ cheats? Chocolate, cookies, Reese's big cups What do you think is holding you back from being in your TOP shape? Weather. It's hard to get motivated when its cloudy and cold all the time and I'm wearing pants and sweaters that hide everything…
  • Great job!!!! That's a huge loss in a few months!
  • I'm 5'4" 33yrs old. I weigh 112, and I'd say my goal weight is 110, but if I'm able to put on some muscle I'd be ok weighing more. I think 108 is the lowest healthy weight for our height. Obviously we vary in our skeletal builds so that's why there is a range. I have a very small frame and at my heaviest weighed 140 and…
  • I'm 5'4" and was 119lbs. I was eating 1200 for a while and lost weight at first but then stalled out. Increased to 1350, lost a little. Just increased to 1500 yesterday so I'll see how that goes...
  • I think you're supposed to because MFP gives you a "net" calorie goal. However I'm always unsure of the accuracy of the exercise calories, so I rarely eat them all back, I'll usually eat back about half of them unless I'm just not feeling hungry.
  • Thanks everyone for the support. I'm happy to report that I am going to sleep now and my calories for the day are 35 below my goal! I did it! I did get a little grumpy at the end of the day because I'm feeling hungry, but I'm fighting through it! One day at a time :-) I love this site because we can all help each other…
  • Wow, and just now seeing my ticket say 0 pounds lost is a kick in the butt! I weigh 0.4 lbs more today than when I started using MFP, ugh! But I am down 6.8lbs from when I started dieting in January.
  • I had one of those days too. Ate so much chocolate that now I feel sick. But, tomorrow is a new day, and I can try to remember how sick I feel right now to help prevent myself from doing this again. Don't get depressed over it, just use it as motivation to start fresh tomorrow and keep working towards your goal! We all…
  • My husband and I both stalled out for a whole month. I used several calculators and determined we weren't eating enough. Bumped my 5'10 169lb husband up to 1700-1800 from 1200-1300 last week and he's already dropped 2 pounds! He did gain the first few days of eating that much more, but the last 4 days it has been steadily…
  • Were you steadily losing weight eating at this same calorie range the month before you stalled? My husband and I both lost a significant amount of weight our first month dieting, but then both stalled out at the same time and for an entire month with no weight loss. I used a LOT of online calculators, and ended up…
  • My husband is 5'10 and started at approx 190lbs. He ate about 700-900 cal/day plus one cheat day a week for several weeks and dropped about 20lbs, but then stalled out and stayed within 168-170 for several weeks still eating the same. After we read a lot of stuff about eating more to lose more, especially if you're not…
