  • I have an Enell which is just too constricting for me although it does hold tight for running. I love my Moving Comfort Maia but did have to size down one cup size (DD from usual E). I just ordered a Panache today after reading reviews on Amazon and can't wait to try it out on a run. I was looking for a racerback and the…
  • I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I have never been a big milk drinker due to allergies so the transition was not that big for me. It does not taste the same though. I am not sure I would want to drink a glass of almond milk straight. It is really good in cereal (especially anything nutty) and oatmeal. I also mix with…
  • My kids are all older now, but when I was home with the baby (who is now 8) I was able to do a stability ball video fairly regularly. I bought him his own ball and he enjoyed "exercising" (which was really just rolling) on his while I got my workout in. He used one of the cheap plastic outdoor balls from Wal-Mart.
  • This happens to me too around 30 mins after my workout. I take a warm shower and change into dry clothes and it goes away. I read somewhere that some think it is related to anemia (which I do struggle with). I drink plenty of water and don't worry too much about it.
  • I try to make sure I have a healthy snack every few hours so I don't get to the point that I am so hungry that I just start grabbing whatever is near. If you have recently eaten and feel hungry, try drinking a glass of water and wait 20 mins or so before eating another snack. Sometimes mine is thirst and not real hunger. I…
  • I stay fairly close to 1200 a day although I am not really strict on myself...if I am hungry, I eat...I just try to be smart about what I eat. MFP set my limit at 1200 when I joined so I just went with it. On days I am more active, I will eat back some of my extra calories. I find that my best days are the ones where I eat…
  • I had wondered about MFP's recommendation too as I was always over the daily goal by a lot. Then I read an article in Fitness Magazine (February) which discussed women and protein. The nutritionist quoted recommended half a gram per pound of body weight for active women. (65 grams/130 lb woman). If you exercise more than…
  • Looks like a great event, but I too will be at the soccer field. Enjoy if you go!
  • The calorie burn depends on the speed and resistance/incline you are using for either. I prefer the elliptical because a treadmill hurts my knees and shins. I don't seem to be able to make it through 15 mins on the treadmill without needing to stop due to pain. This is likely something that will change as I become stronger…
  • At the moment...Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs...OMG, I have to duck and run for the registers at the grocery to stay strong. Anything sweet - cookies, cake, pie - it's all good.

  • New to MFP and STL. Live in Wildwood. Moved from Louisiana last summer. I don't get asked where I went to high school often because when I speak the southern drawl usually prompts "Where are you from?" instead.
