  • I am also 5'2. My starting weight was 130 and a size 4/6. My current weight is 127 and still a size 4/6, but my clothes are fitting better and looser! I'm really unsure of what I want my goal weight to be. Honestly I'm totally fine with my weight. I want to lose fat and build muscle, so that may mean not losing any pounds,…
  • It's so weird, but I felt really great in a bikini when I was in high school and weighed around 118 (size 4). Then I actually lost weight as I got older and felt incredible in a bikini at 105 (size 2). I had my daughter in May of 2010 and that August I wore a tankini that showed off my lower stomach and had a string bottom…
  • I was 19 when I got married. Does that count?? And we only officially dated for 3 months before getting engaged. It's been 5 years now... things are still wonderful!
  • My mom is like that. But she hasn't drank water in probably 10 years. I'm not even kidding. All she drinks is diet dr pepper all day every day. And she doesn't eat large meals but snacks on really unhealthy crap at night pretty much daily. And she is very inactive. She's not hugely overweight, but she could be not…
  • Ummmm just. No. Wow. If my husband took a picture of me and made it clear that *that* was the acceptable behavior he wouldn't be my husband for very long. This is absurd. Hmmmm, maybe this would work on a 5 year old, but I can't think of any intelligent grown woman who wouldn't be able to see through that.
  • I should add too that the mood swings are usually only the day before, then I'm fine again. I can always tel when it's that time if I'm depressed completely out of the blue. lol
  • I tried it for only one week and was losing it. I had a REALLY hard time after having my daughter though, too with the hormone fluctuations. Bad PPD. My body just freaks out if my hormone levels are off. Honestly though, it doesn't sound like I can complain too much. My only real symptoms are sadness/hopelessness, ravenous…
  • Did your wife tell you she pulls her hair up and wears sweats to hide herself? It's kind of really bugging me that you keep saying that. I'm also one of those girls that just likes sweats. It's comfortable and cozy. I don't wear sweats out of the house, but if I'm home that is what I'm wearing 98% of the time. In summer I…
  • Ughh it freakin sucks huh!? I can't be on birth control because the hormones make me a psychopath! I usually gain several pounds before and during. What's even more awesome is we'll be on vacation next week during it and I'm gonna be in swimsuits and shorts. Awesome. :(
  • I recently started this too. I have lost one lb on it but gained it back. I have read in a lot of places though that when you work your muscles a lot they hold onto water to repair themselves, so I think that's why I am not losing/gaining back weight that I had lost. I can tell I'm already firming up a lot though and…
  • I am very short at 5'2 and my starting weight wasn't super high, so I've already noticed a difference with just a 3 lb loss. But because I am very small boned and short 5 lbs is a big deal for me. 5 lbs for me can mean an entire size difference so it's a lot more obvious. But I've also been doing a lot of weights and…
  • I have looked for a calculator like this as well, and only found stuff about waist measurements being below 30 inches. Anyway, my current measurements are bust 34", waist 27", and hips 37". My arms are 10.5 and my thighs are 20". My goal is bust 34", waist 26" and hips 36". My goal for arms is 9-10" and thighs 18-19". I…
  • My husband is watching a dumb show so I'm sitting here with him until he will go to bed with me. :)
  • My biggest problem has been evening snacking. We put our daughter to bed around 7 or 7:30 then around 8 when we sit down to watch tv and hang out I just want to snack soooo bad!! Even when I'm not hungry at all. The worst part is my husband loves snacking too and if we don't have anything in the house he'll go to the store…
  • We're going on vacation in a week and I bought two new swimsuits... and returned them. Gah! I'm sooo not ready either. Trying on swimsuits last week is actually what caused me to join MFP! So I'm hoping to reach my first goal by June 1st. If I can do that I'll totally be ready for a bikini!
  • OMG you all look amazing! My back is by far my worst feature. I hate it soooo much. This gives me so much motivation to work even harder on it!
  • zumba :) I did one whole dvd and half of another.
  • Actually the incline is to get a good glute and hamstring workout plus I can burn over double the amount of calories then at 0% incline. Last time I checked I don't need to swing my arms to work my butt.
  • nothing. I don't really care how others work out. I'm a pretty thin person and work out daily, but I'm not a runner. I ran track wayyy back in the day but I was a sprinter, not distance runner. I have no desire to be a runner, so if I work out on the treadmill I walk. The whole time. Like 4.0-4.5 mph and at a 15% incline…
  • I drink it every day. I lovvvveeee it and I don't want to give it up. I don't believe in the myth that it makes you eat more. In fact I've read tons of articles that say just the opposite. And when I was my skinniest and borderline underweight I drank it like it was going out of style (pretty much exclusively, with little…

  • I don't really understand this as a question. Yes, only water is water. Soda is not water, coffee is not water, tea is not water. This is basic 2 year old knowledge. Those things contain water, but if I held up a glass of soda to my two year old and asked her what it was she would not say "water" and if she did I would…
  • I have terrible fatigue during that time. Like, so bad that when I am normally the lightest sleeper on the planet that I can even hear my kiddo crying at night. It seriously just knocks me out. So yeah, it's hard for me during that time because even when I get started in an exercise I feel like I've been hit by a truck.
  • OMG I can't believe people don't wear underwear at the gym. I always wear underwear. I don't like feeling naked or "on display" and to me I think not wearing underwear is ridiculously uncomfortable, especially in tight pants! Like I really want my pants riding up places while working out. Ewwwwwww...
  • You really should see your dr, sooner rather than later. Last year when I was 105 lbs I was still in the normal range for my BMI but my period starting going away. I was only getting it about every other month and it was almost nothing. I wanted to get pregnant was one reason I went to the dr and they did tell me I needed…
  • Oh, and I don't have a problem spending $600/month on food because it's healthy and what we "want" to eat. I'm just pointing out those prices are pretty unrealistic for most Americans. I did get some strawberries on sale the other day- $1.50 for a small carton. I was in shock they were so cheap! SO obviously there are…
  • I don't shop at Walmart. Haven't stepped foot in one in almost 3 years and won't. I'd rather pay more than go there. Anyway, I live in a very high cost of living area, so Walmart prices are actually more or at least equivalent to where I shop.
  • Interesting. I have mine open. I know I'm not the best eater but honestly couldn't care less what people think about what I eat. Honestly I think if people just sit around going through people's diaries to criticize what they eat they need to get a life. I wish I had that much free time. :)
  • Holy Cow I wish food was that cheap!! Are those prices from about 10 years ago?? We eat mostly very healthy. We actually had that exact chicken tonight- except it's over $2/lb. Bananas- hmmm we buy those a lot and I admit I almost never check prices but I think for a bunch of bananas I spend close to $2. You get my point-…
  • I'm 5'2 and my current weight is 128. I have a LOT of fat though. I think your goal weight should be very dependent on your body type and frame. I'm very petite and small boned, so my first goal is 120 and final goal is 110. I used to be 105 and I was definitely not too thin. I even still had some love handles going on at…
  • I 100% agree you should go get a physical and talk to your dr. They will be able to tell what's going on and if it is just something as simple as you need to exercise more or if it is something serious. Also they will ease you into a routine so you don't go to the gym and have a heart attack your first day!
