Pretty sure it's called the Military Diet for people in the military trying to lose weight fast for their weigh ins. I remember doing this diet once about 20 years ago and it was the most depressing, blandest 3 days of my life. I probably lost weight but then gained it right back. There is no quick fix. Just eat at a…

I haven't lost any in my arms or bust but mostly my waist/hips. I was starting to get bummed out about not losing but it finally happened. I know muscle is better than fat but sometimes that scale is a huge motivator. I've heard a lot of people say they see results during recovery week too. But I'm finding that I really…

I'm 2 weeks in and I today was first day I saw a weightloss (2lbs) but I've also lost 6 inches overall.
-
I'm really liking it so far though. With a herniated disk I have to modify a few things (like forget about me ever doing a Dreya Roll!) but I'm still burning a ton of calories and feeling stronger every day. I can even tell a difference on the backs of my thighs after 1 week.

I'm in week 2 and haven't lost a single pound. Yes, I was definitely sore last week. Even had a sore back the last two days (I swear it was all those damn Vinyasas).

I did the lean because I knew I couldn't handle the push ups and pull ups. I figure if I can make it through round 1 I'll attempt classic in my second round. Good luck to you! Four days in and I love it. I don't love the eating more protein part though.

Awesome job!! I've lost 50 since September and I too did C25K and now doing P90X. I'd hoping to lose the 60 by August. Good luck to you!
-
Finished day 3 of P90X :)
-
I am too. I started yesterday. Definitely "feelin' the burn".
-
I'm starting p90x today and I too am stressing over how to get in all that protein. I don't want to drink 4 protein shakes a day and I can't really afford to be eating 3lbs+ of chicken daily. I realize that this phase won't be long lasting but it's going to be HARD.

Hi, I started MFP back in September and I'm down 50lbs with another 60 to go. I'd love new friends to keep me motivated and I'll do the same for you! :) -To share what works for myself I'd say it's logging EVERYTHING. Even mustard! -Weigh out as much as you can. You'd be surprised how much you get in a true 1tbsp serving…

Wow, you look great. Congratulations!
-
Thank you for putting it into perspective. That's a great motivator!

I haven't tried the sugar free ones yet. I'm sure they taste pretty similar to this though. But this is probably WAY cheaper and I like cheap!

I just made my first batch two days ago. Thanks for the tip! I used the leftover almond meal to make cookies today. I was amazed how easy the milk was to make.

Yep, the emotions come when they come and why hold them back? I can talk about my feelings til the cows come home but sweating it out helps me in the long run. There is even evidence linked to the benefits of physical activity during the grieving process and helps to stave off depression as well.

I started C25K about a month after I lost my son at 5 1/2 months pregnant (2 months ago). In the beginning I'd be on the treadmill and I'd start bawling at some point. It was like a floodgate would open up. It happened the other day when I ran a mile for the first time without stopping. It's my therapy I guess, thankfully…

Congratulations! And Good luck!

Yes, I think that's part of the problem. If you give into that mentality you're back where you started aren't you? Go balls to the wall eating whatever you want because it's "fun"?

I would think anything on the seafood list would be fine except the fried stuff. The olives and almonds would be fine except the sodium in the olives? Oh, and the vegetables sound good like the chickpeas, mushrooms. Mmm, I'm getting hungry now. I found this, it might help:…

I'm on week 3 day 2. Nervous about next weeks 5 min runs. :ohwell: I've lost about 8lbs so far after starting.
-
I am on week 3 and I love it. Every week I think I psych myself out but then I do it. And every week I start to love it a little more. Good luck!

I could be wrong but it sounds like your co-worker was just taking her weaknesses and insecurities out on you. Like, how dare you have the strength to not eat the junk food while I do? As a person who's been overweight most of her life I have always found the best joy pigging out around other people who ate just like me.…

Congratulations! Very inspiring indeed. And you are completely correct. It is 100% mental. Because if your mind and heart aren't in it you are doomed to fail. But when they are in it you are a force to be reckoned with.

I bought a bag of candy corn last week and I'm allowing myself 19 little pieces a day...which is a serving I guess. Who knew? After all these years I never cared to know that while I was eating handfuls at once.
-
I started MFP over again a month ago and I've been good every day since except for ONE DAY where I kinda pigged out on junk. But then I worked off the calories later that day. I haven't been back there since. Because I came to the realization that it just wasn't worth it. But OMG do I know that mode....like, i'm going to…

I totally understand the panicky feeling before the binge eating. But, I like the feeling of having the power over the food now. Good for you!

If you have an Aldi in your town I highly recommend trying to find stuff there. They label items as their own brand and are a lot like the original except at a much lower price. They have a lot of organic items and if I'm not mistaken they own Trader Joe's. They make a cereal that tastes exactly like the Kashi Go Lean…

I started a week ago and I have close to 100 to lose. Feel free to add me as well!

I agree. And overall, I think the food database is way more helpful. I've yet to find something that's not listed. I remember having a hard time finding points for coconut oil on the WW site....?!?
