I prefer a snack before, and a meal after! Sun Warrior chocolate flavored Amino-Protein powder-1 scoop mixed with cool water, shake it up and sip before workouts. Fruit/veggie/protein shake, banana protein pancakes, rice chex with fruit and ground flax seed, or a veggie omelet for breakfast/meal after workouts.

Heck ya! When I move up a to a higher weight bracket, I'm all like, "ARRRGGGGHHHHH" on the last one or two reps just because my strength is not quite there yet. You could eat the same stuff and add a couple tablespoons of flax seed or protein powder. Nut butters are pretty high calorie too, and Justin's nut butters are organic. I feel your pain. o_O I had 70+ in this one and we celebrated when the final coloring was placed. :) But then, you get to look forward to... touch ups! After about 30 hours of it, it starts to feel more like a job and less like a fun tattoo day.
