I eat it because it tastes good. I've heard it's a "health" food...but no idea why or how and don't really care too much. All I know is I like it..lol.0 -
Radishes, all vegetables and lately plain Rice Cakes.0

Cooked brocolli. Awesome0

Hummus is good with Tabouli, carrots, Wasa crackers, etc….most veggies will work.0

I have substituted crackers with cucumber slices. So I will build a little canape with the cucumber as a base, a slice of cheese, and a little hummus on top. Yummy and low cal .... just don't go wild on the cheese. I also love it with carrots.0

cucumbers, broccoli and cauliflower!0

Hummus is made out of Chick Peas.
Walmart seems to have different flavors.
What is your favorite Flavor.0 -
Its a very good dip for most veggies. Experiment with your favorite veggies and you should be okay. At first, stay away from the non-traditional flavors of Hummus.0

Because it's main ingredient is garbanzo beans. It's high in fibre, protein and iron. Plus the garlic and lemon is good for you too!0 -
A spoon... :ohwell:
But normally soft pita bread or pita chips. Also Carrots or Red Peppers0 -
I looked at the Internet.
Hummus comes from India and is made with chick Peas, they stated that some people say with garbanzo Beans.
Both is Correct
1 TBSP is 25 calories and no Sugar.
Think I may try it as Walmart has Hummus with different flavors.0 -

Garbanzo beans and Chickpeas are just two different names for the same thing. Some people call the Chi-chi beans, too. Most grocery stores have many flavors. Tribe brand and Sabra brand both had 4 or 5 flavors. Hummus is a Middle Eastern dish, not just India.0 -
I mix it in with canned tuna, 2 tbs does the trick. Add tomato and whole wheat and it makes a fabulous tuna sammich.0

Lots of great ideas. That said, if celery with salsa ruined celery for you, you might be able to eat it again if you take a stalk of celery and fill the hollow bit with some softened gorgonzola cheese. It's heavenly.
Of course, I eat celery with salsa often, when I want salsa but don't want the calories and salt of tortilla chips. So I don't really understand the objection in the first place.0 -

Traditionally people eat hummus with pita bread or pita chips. I LOVE WHEAT THINS! They're just a little bit sweet so they're pretty satisfying. Also people do baby carrots, crackers, or those little bagel crisp things. Pretzels might be okay too.0
