I focus on a protein and a veg every two hours. Since I started, I've lost 6 lbs. My husband, who eats whatever he wants but is watching me, has also lost 6 lbs.

I agree. Add more vegetables and water, less wheat products. Also, plan ahead for the day what you intend to eat.

Need some encouragement. I've been on track for the entire month of March. Exercising 3000 calories a week. Eating within my calorie expectations or below every day. I have one square of high quality chocolate with almonds every afternoon (M-F) with my coffee. That seems to be doing it for me. I'm 5'3" and currently 176.6 lbs. I'm 50, and I know that under 130 will look too thin for me. I was 115 at 22 and looked skeletal. What does everyone else use as inspiration? I have skinny pictures on the fridge (mine, not comparing myself to someone else) I also have a skinny outfit hanging in the front of my closet. Don't have the nerve to try it on again yet.

Whenever I see this (and it happens once a month!) I just double my exercise and water and wait it out. It disappears quickly. Perhaps you are eating too few carbs and your body is waiting for energy. Balance is everything. Hang in there. It IS worth it. You CAN do it.

I find this is also a carb overload, and I get sleepy before I even get to work! In reference to some of the other posts, let's try and speak in a supportive manner here. None of us came here to get criticized. We all came here for support.

Hit 50 in August. Lost 40 lbs in 2008 and can't get ANY off now. Definitely more difficult, but WE CAN DO IT!

Keep playing. Keep pushing yourself a little bit every day. He wanted you to think he was as young as you are. You assumed he meant that you were as old as he is. Knitting is a good way to keep your fingers nimble, when your body is sore from doing athletic endeavours. Everything has a place in your life. Hang in there.
