Fitbit vs MFP

MAP says I burned 187 calories this morning walking two miles at a brisk pace
My fitbit gave me credit for 79 calories for the same walk.
Can anyone tell which one is accurate?
I don't eat my exercise calories anyway, but I'm wondering why they're different.

Nobody who doesn't know how much you weigh can tell you which guess is closer to the truth. You get about a third of your body weight in pounds for every mile walked, if you weigh 300 pounds that's 100 calories per mile.0

Fitbit gives you gross calories, thus it will be less than that.
Gross = the calories your body burns anyway, thus your base metabolic rate during this time plus the walking.
Use miles * weight in lbs * 0.3 for realistic net calories
Net = only the calories you burn while walking0
