  • I can understand wanting to eat something different for breakfast. Usually I would try to rotate: - Protein pancakes with fatty sausage and sugar free.whipped topping - spinach omelet topped with mayo - 3 hard boiled eggs with mayo
  • I experimented doing 2 days of just protein/veggie day before switching to Keto macros. But on them days I would be eating under calories (less than 1200) with exercise. This allowed me to enter ketosis it seems a lot quicker because I'm forcing my body into starvation mode. After words by body has no choice but to accept…
  • Hey there Rachel and welcome to the group! The menu your presents looks good for keto seeing how the carb count in kept low. Also remember whole on a Ketogenic diet Fiber doesnt count towards Net Carb count so always subtract it out. As for your other questions: - do you take any supplements- vitamins/minerals etc? if so,…
  • I fluctuate between: 65% fats, 30% Proteins, 5% carbs and 70% fats, 25% proteins, 5% Carbs
  • I see nothing wrong with yoga. I did it. Was the only guy in the class... not complaining lol. It's like advance stretching to me.
  • I'll second that...
  • I usually eat 10~20 net carbs a day ... <_<; but not today lol.. it's my protein/veggie day then switching back into keto macros (65% fats, 30% proteins, 5% carbs). Just had a carb up recently.
  • Definitely a no go... Your body will breakdown proteins (muscles) in your body if no Carbs are provided. I did my military physical test with no Carbs was felt drained after my 1.5 mile run. Keto is not good for long distance endurance runs or very high intensity workouts.
  • Ketogenic diet is very diuretic in nature. So like everyone mentioned you need to keep your minerals and electrolytes up.
  • Not a huge fan of soy products... But they are Keto friendly. I rather make my own keto noodles.
  • That's close to my macros. Dont forget you shoulf be calculating net Carbs, not just Carbs. Net Carbs = total Carbs - fiber. Fiber dont count on keto. You just poop it lol..
  • On ketogenic diet any high intensity, endurance running, or heavy lifting exervise that would normally require Carbs will be a bit of a challenge. keto flu can last from 1~4 Weeks and during that time your body strength will be weaker. Once the flu pass you should get a rush of energy (the body will enter survival mode)…
  • Good choices dotcr. I'll like to add: - breakfast Eggs Bacon Mayo -lunch Chicken breast, leg, thigh High fiber veggies with evoo and vinegar Or Taco salad without the taco shells/chips (make your own spice or the meat) - Dinner Chicken breast, legs, thighs High fiberous veggies with evoo + vinegar Or Taco salad no…
  • I eat less than 20 net Carbs usually. Everyone is different. Macros are 65% fats, 30% proteins, 5% Carbs. Went from 10.2% bf down to 5.7% in 3 months....
  • For me after any carb up I eat for 1~2 days just proteins and veggies at under calories. Zero fats, eating at normal protein lvls for keto, and hitting atleast 30 net Carbs worth of veggies. Since you'll have the Carbs fresh in your system I dont see how eating back at keto macros the next day will benefit. Fats + Carbs =…
  • I usually make mine with just coconut oil and regular salted butter. Black coffee only no sugars.
  • Ate pork rinds at a pool party. Everyone thought I was crazy telling me I'll lose my abs and get fat... Ah... they wouldn't understand lol
  • Very informative indeed.
  • Im confused as to what's the point of this thread... - There is no such thing as a "no carb diet" ... - Temporary how? low carbing is not a short term diet, but instead a lifestyle change. the first initial weight loss of low carbing is mainly water weight due to the loss of glycogens (stored digested carbs). one gram of…
  • Im sorry but if most the info found on that link requires one to make purchases from non credible sources then I wouldnt trust it...
  • If you register you're in keto. It's either you're in it or you're not. If you're registering darker shades it could mean you're not drinking enough water (ketogenic diet is very diuretic), If you consume coconut oil usually it's darker.
  • Cottage cheese makes a great bed time snack
  • There will be weight loss... As well as muscle breakdown and metabolism being shot... eat them macros! One should never eat below 1200 calories.
  • I own a box of every flavor... Put the ones like chocolate chip cookie dough or brownie in the microwave (unwrapped lol) for like 5~8 and omg!
  • You can do it when ever. Just needs to be done before the refeed.
  • In other news the price of a carton of egg whites have jumped from $2.50 ish to like $4+ over the past few Weeks.... :grumble:
  • Bump because my friend wanted me make her some special cupcakes and I plan on using this idea. Had to use search tool on forums to find this again ha!
  • I do a cyclical ketogenic diet variation. I eat keto macros for 7~14 days. Then for one day either weekly or bi-weekly depending on how much I worked out. I would have a massive 24 hr refeed period to hit 1000g+ Carbs. during that 24 hrs I would eat naearly 8k+ worth of calories! After such a day I can hit the gym so hard…
  • Sounds they had others called about it. With the mistake pointed out I still wouldnt touch it... Better to make your own low carb pizza since you know what will be going into it.
