• Great thread! What in the world is a good girl/bad girl machine. I work out with a trainer and it's mainly because of the squat form. I have had 5 knee surgeries and I refuse to be told I shouldn't be doing it. On the other hand..my trainer is not so concerned about my knees as he says I have weak hips. How in the world…

• So excited for you!! I was smiling from ear to ear when I read your post! Especially the part about being able to walk by your 69th birthday! I have had 5 knee surgeries. (Yea,hubby didn't marry me for my good lookin' legs). I know I will be a candidate for replacements in my future. Keep us posted on your progress. Will…
• You can add me too! Been lifting with a PT for about 3 months. but did the Jamie Eason program off bodybuilding prior to the hiring the PT. working with PT mainly because with 5 knee surgeries..squats scared me. I hit a PR a last week with a bench of 5 reps 95#. Love getting stronger. Squat form still needs lots of work.…
• Slarjr....you are awesome! I reached my PR the other day with 5 reps of 95 lbs. Can't imagine 10 reps at 100!! Like the OP, wish my arms were leaner, We will get there. It's my squats that I totally suck on! But it's soooo fun lifting! :flowerforyou:
• Oh no! I have been wearing my HRM and my fitbit during my weight lifting sessions. And yep..been logging it in on the MFP site (and thinking that my fitbit would adjust the calories). Now, i am thinking I shouldn't log it all! Feel like I am getting a good workout with all the compound lifts...but it is definitely…

• Here is my question for y'all.... So I am just joined working with a trainer. this is after I have completed the Jamie Eason's 12 week livefit trainer off bodybuilding website. However during that 12 week period...never felt like I could really push myself with the weights. my gym was not conducive to heavy lifting...no…
• I am on Day 3 of Week 1. I am having to do follow some of the modifier...I have to watch the knees when I do cardio. I am also lifting 3xs a week... I do love the fact that it is only 25 minutes. So far, I have burned 212 cal and 230 cals...so we will see what happens tonight! LOL
•
They are great about shipping:) Did your friend see alot of good results with T25? I know a few people who are doing T25 AND some other DVDs!!:) Curious to see if this alone will make good things happen:)
My friend has done a lot of the different programs off beachbody and she said (and I quote) "T25 is…
• Just bought mine today! I cannot wait for it to get here. I have a friend who is doing it (done it) and highly recommends it. I just completed Jamie Eason's 12 week livefit trainer...and I was looking for another program! Hope that 3 to 5 days shipping is more like 3....I am ready! :flowerforyou:
• I do wear my HRM when I play and depending on weather (if it's a cool day or 95 degree weather day) my calories change. I average anywhere between 800 to 900 riding in a cart and around 1100 to 1200 when I am pulling a cart or carrying the bag! I just like to see what calorie burn I have...so hence the HRM...mainly for…
• Wow!! Thanks for this inspiration! And I thought I had it bad! Mine are divided with both knees, two reconstructions on left (ACL and miniscus) and one scope, then one reconstruction on right (ACL) and a scope. I am doing the Livefit trainer with Jamie Eason off bodybuilding.com right now and really feel that I am building…
•
Forefoot and midfoot provide the same benefit. I'm usually forefoot when running fast and midfoot when running normally. Google, Good Form Running. It's more than just foot strike. It includes foot placement under your center of mass and body alignment.
Thanks! There is hope for me after all! :drinker:
• That was a good article. I miss running! I did a few 5k's..and I think that is all I can do at this point. My issue is that I have had 5 knee surgeries! Three reconstructions and two orthoscopic. I have been basically told that "the only time you should be running...if someone is running after you". I still sneak a little…
