Windsor here! :drinker:

When I thought I wouldn't be able to run for the full 25 minutes for week 7, day 1 of my C25K, I did! (On the treadmill, but I still did it. Now I have to try it outside...)

Hello from Windsor! :drinker:
-
Yummy! I love cucumber salad. Thanks!
-
^^LMAO! Agreed though. I know it was good when my face is burning as I cool down and I'm sweating like a beast.
-
I also use this app. In the first week, I thought I was going to keel over....I'm at the end of week 6 (but I should have re-tried week 5, day 3...) It surely helps, but in the last few weeks where it jumps up to 20-22 mins of running...eek (for me).
-
Agreed!
-
That's what I was thinking!

I'm no expert, but I think a good way would be to lose the weight slow so the skin shrinks with it along the way. That being said...there still may be extra (and like the above poster said: it can lose some elasticity, so you may just be stuck with it.)
-
LMAO! Great post! :flowerforyou:
-
Agreed. And like another poster said, not mentioning the child's appearance is ok. Focusing on other things (like books in the article) is great and will teach them that not everything is based on how people look.

Nope, not mean. I'd give her an ultimatum to tell him before I did too. WTF kind of ridiculous crap is that having your boyfriend move in with you and your husband? If she's not happy, she can up and leave. (And to the person calling her unsupportive - put your shirt on and respect your "friend's" household and wife. The…

Great work, you look fantastic! Keep it up!

Thank you for sharing! You're so inspiring. No excuses is the only way to go. :flowerforyou:

I'm not 100% sure what's next for me, but I was looking into that Body By You book as well. I think I might give that one a try. Right now, I'm doing C25K along with the 30DS, so I'll for sure be finishing up my 8 week run program too.

Count me in! I just turned 30 last month, but that counts, right? ;) I have two kids and a really boring sit-on-your-butt-all-day job. I need motivation! Feel free to friend me!
-
Glad to know I'm not the only one! It's not going to make me give up though...as much as I hate those plank moves in level 2. Getting stronger is still a good thing!
-
Will be doing day 11 later today... I'm so glad level one is over. I was getting bored.

I agree with all the other posters who said your "friends" need to be shown how important this journey is to you. You aren't trying to change them, you're changing you, and if they don't like it, they are real friends. I don't get why people try to sabotage and put down others for trying to be healthier. Maybe it's…

Hi MCLA4mom, I also have Hashimoto's. I was taken right off my meds after I had my first child. I even went through my whole second pregnancy with no meds. (They still watched my levels throughout the pregnancy, but everything stayed fine.) I stayed off them for probably about a year after I had my second child, then…

I use 3lb right now, but I think I need to switch to 5lb for some of the moves....I feel like I'm not doing when I do the arm rows with the 3lb.
-
^^ this. You deserve WAY better than what you're getting. I also agree with the poster that said "Real Men don't do this." They don't/ He should support you and not sabotage what you're trying to do for yourself. Stop telling him about your diet, and tell him to shut the eff up.
-
I also had to do the injections, and those seemed to work. However, I got a nasty stain on my arm from one of them...has this happened to anyone else?
-
Count me in! I'll be doing week 2, day 1 after work tonight! Looking forward to having some buddies for this program.
-
This really does sum it all up. I don't think people realize that Hashimoto's (and other thyroid-related issues) can wreak havoc on a person. It's like a roller coaster ride, but with blind corners so you never know what's coming. I think the only people who truly understand are others like us who suffer from the same…

Me too! And because I'm tired of being tired because I want to run around with my kids and not be winded after 5 minutes because it's time to get off my a** and stop being lazy

Day one complete! I almost didn't bother doing it last night, but I'm glad I did. Today though...my legs are killing me!! As a previous poster said: I think stretching more afterwards would be a good idea. There isn't enough stretching in the video after the workout.
