  • Thanks so much, I appreciate it!
  • One more question! (I lost a substantial amount of weight about 1 1/2 years ago, and put, literally, a chunk back on this winter while healing a broken foot. Not a huge amount but enough to effect my fitness level. And, to lose it this time, I want to be as strong and smart about it as possible)... I have heard that the…
  • Nope, no four hour workouts :) I run, quite a bit, along with some intense cross training and heavy lifting. My highest calorie burn days are my 2-a-day's which only happen once or twice a week. Thanks for your post!
  • Please no eye rolls or sighs :/ haha... But, let's say my TDEE minus 20% is 1870ish...Do I eat this amount no matter what? Example, if I don't work out one day or if I burn 900-1100 calories? Thanks!!
  • Thanks so much guys, some good basic and new ideas! And, thanks for the reminder that sodium is not an end all, but still something to be educated about and aware of :)
  • Thanks! I eat Fage Total 0 with fruit every day, and I guess it won't hurt to eat it twice a day! ;) Thanks again for the ideas/reminders!
  • Gosh dang it...haha, you know how in the moment you can't think of some obvious ideas? Thanks!
  • How awesome! I hope to hear that training is going well down the road :) (And, those of you who have "shorter" races soon, you'll have to let us know how you did!)
  • Wow. Thank you. I appreciate all of the honesty you all shared. I haven't ever talked about this with anyone outside family, and I don't want to grind them to death with the constant worrying, etc. When I first lost a large amount of weight i was eating 1500-1600 calories, working out consistently, planning a wedding, and…
  • Thank you so much for sharing/posting...sometimes it is even "nice" to know that you are not 100% crazy...my husband would claim 85% ;) But, really, it has been a huge burden for so long, and if I can help and be helped by others who might be dealing with similar feelings, then let's do it. I am eating to fuel my body, I…
  • Awesome, thank you! :)
  • Yeah, unfortunately they were different amounts for the same labels. I weighed in grams to try and get the best/most exact calorie count :)
  • Thank you both! I appreciate it :) Thank goodness sweet potatoes are good for you.
  • Haha, I love it! Thank you again for all of your thoughts, you have been very helpful :)
  • Once again ;) I play doubles sand vball for 90 minutes, I put 25 minutes into MFP, I lift for 30 minutes, I put 15 into MFP. Etc. I really do appreciate the concern over calories burned, I know MFP is pretty crazy when it comes to that, lol. But, I was mostly concerned with what others do when they burned a higher than…
  • Yep! Most definitely...I do have a Garmin, FT4, and HRM that help with determining calorie burn, and even then with all exercises (except running) I take out at least 20% of the calories MFP tells me I burn. I never ever planned on eating back all 1000 calories, as I said before, I just wanted to get an idea of what others…
  • Awesome! I had a broken foot from not running in the right gear (on ice) and I am finally able to run again, 4 miles today might seem like a sqeak, but I can't wait to build up again :) Keep runnin'!
  • Yeah, those are pretty tricky to average calories burned. I put in 15 minutes when I really do 30. (Just to cushion some). But, as you said, I think the key is to not let hunger (or faux hunger) rule your eating, but let your body tell you what it needs. Thank you!
  • Thanks guys! And, haha, yeah, I definitely don't put in every single minute that I exercise, I know MFP overestimates calories burned. I pay more attention to what my gear says, how my body feels, and then at least take 20% of those burned calories off. Today, for example, I ran (in decent humidity, so my heart rate was…
  • I REALLY appreciate all of your guys' replies. I read each one carefully. I know it seems like I am being plain dumb about not resting, and maybe I am, but it is only because I am afraid of gaining weight and getting completely out of shape. I know my wires are probably a bit mixed up with that way of thinking, so your…
  • Gosh dang it. Haha. Thank you for your concern. It is much easier in my head to say rest, but then the sunshine comes out and I get stupid again ;)
  • Thank you! Yes, many sweet people continue to tell me to swim, but unfortunately our center with the pools is closed for renovations all summer. I belong to a gym now, and the closest swimming facility is 15 mins, and much more expensive. Two years into marriage, and we haven't found that money tree yet ;)
  • Haha, thank YOU! Can I take you with me, put you in my pocket, and have you remind me of this when I start to obsess over it? ;) I appreciate it!

  • Thank you! I have asked my doctor if they do body fat testing there, but they do not. My gym does it, but it's sporadic. This is something that I have procrastinated with and is long over due.

  • Thank you for more responses, I really appreciate it!! And shew whee :( I never meant to have "sass" or any attitude in my response. There was some mis-communication I am guessing on both ends. I will read my posts twice from now on, I do not EVER want to be disrespectful or hurtful on here, this should be a place of…

  • Jen- you are implying I should lose more then, I am guessing? I am healthiest at the high end of the "BMI healthy range." I have been above and below this and talked with my doctor about it. I was just hoping for advice, thoughts, examples, etc. I was not hoping to get shorthanded comments. Thank you for all who…

  • Thanks guys! I appreciate it, I was over-thinking it and this helped a lot :)
  • Thank you for responding! Also, don't laugh... ;) But, what do you mean by "this week is a reefed for me"?
  • Reiterating what many people have already said...I have never restricted myself to not eating after a certain time. BUT, of course only when I am truly hungry. There have definitely been many times where that late night snack attack hits, but in all honesty it is just that, the desire to snack rather than satisfy hunger-…
