Here is my mileage for the month of June so far, I'm pretty slow on my rides right now I'm working my way back into biking, starting with the bike at the gym, after not touching my bike in YEARS.... June 1 - CT Walking/hiking 12.10 (7.5 hours at work and 1.5 hours outside) June 2 - CT Walking 5.90, ID 2.10 (10 minutes)…

I would love to join. I sent a PM too.

Something energetic like a Border Collie or Australian Shepherd. In real life I have a 10.75 year old cocker spaniel and a 10 week old Australian shepherd/beagle mix.

You get a million cool points for the use of Sheldon Copper. As for this supposed ED? I'm still trying to figure it all out but once I do I will join the ranks with the rest of y'all.

Bump for inspiration!

I did this and started seeing and feeling the results real soon. Try taking your measurements once a month. It's like Christmas morning when you see the number on the tape getting smaller.

Starting weight (week 1): 188 Week 2 weight: 188.5

Bump for later

Thank you for all the suggestions so far! I forgot to mention that we have actually put in a small garden this year and have potatoes, beans, melons, cucumbers, tomatoes, peas and peppers coming up so far. I don't have a Costco membership but I do have an Aldi's near me and I have my Target team member discount as well.

I agree with getting form down and then adding weight. Good luck!

My current fitness/weight loss goal is to be out/close to being out of the 180's and consistently losing again. I'm hoping to be comfortably in my size 12's again.

Congrstulations on your tremendous success so far! Thank you for posting this I really needed to find it very much.

Bump to reply in the morning.

Hi Tom! I sent a friend request a little bit ago. While the scale is a helpful tool, the tape measure is just as helpful...especially when the scale stalls. Take your measurements and once a month re-take them. Good things come to those who wait. I don't know if it's in your budget but a gym membership and a trainer…

I just sent out invites to everyone who expressed interest in the group. The sign up thread is up right now and I'm working on the thread for those who might be interested in being a captian. If you are new to this thread here is a link to the challenge group page.....…

I just created the actual group page a couple of minutes ago. There will be teams that are named for Greek God's and Goddess', each participant will be placed in a team at random (unless otherwise discussed). Since the weigh in's and measurements won't count towards your teams point total there will be points awarded for…

Bump to read later!

I will be creating a group here on MFP when i get up from my nap later. There will be a sign up thread and from there each team will be chosen at random. I will also be looking for captains for each team as well. I'm also in the process of getting a spreadsheet made too.

Me too! Friend request sent!

I have about 55 pounds to lose. Good luck on your lifestyle change! Glad we're friends so we can motivate one another.
-
I'm hoping to have a co-chair. Trying to keep it as simple as possible to keep me from pulling out my hair. :)
-
Thanks everybody! Will be getting the group set up shortly. Location doesn't affect much, will have to figure out time differences to get info in on time.
-
I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. Glad we're MFP friends so we can motivate one another!
-
Because they make great workout partners. My Cocker Spaniel is the best walking buddy EVER! We're also getting an Australian Shepherd/Beagle (if there's a will there's a way  ) mix puppy this weekend.

Since I read your later post about being able to go bigger. I recommend Lab/lab mixes. I've been told by lab owners that they are comparable to the energizer bunny. I've heard Australian shepherds are great dogs too. We're actually picking up a Aussie/Beagle puppy this weekend. I also recommend adopting from a shelter.…
