Well, I don't know anywhere near the OP's whole situation, but I will say I have at least a couple autoimmune issues as well as inflammation. For me personally, some exercise or movement daily helps. Also, using turmeric, which I have seen a couple other posters mention. Eating simply and "clean" definitely helps. Cutting…

Great question, which I was wondering too!! I am feeling impatient to go down a size. Have lost 20 pounds since April but am in most of the same clothes. My stomach and hips have shrunk some so that clothes fit better. Still have not gone down a size. I think each body loses in different ways and places. My height is 5'6".…

Are you saying you lost 60 lbs in 76 days???

Hi, glad I found this group at 63 years young with our unique situations! I lost 35 lbs on MFP in 2013-14, but then let health issues and life itself overwhelm me. Returned here two months ago and also rejoined TOPS a couple weeks ago for in-person accountability. (Was involved in TOPS 20-21 years ago.) Have lost 14 lbs.…

Does anybody come here anymore? After returning to MFP (after being away for 2+ years), I have decided to add an in-person component, TOPS. (I lost some weight in TOPS more than 20 years ago). The timing seems to be right to utilize both. Anybody? Thoughts? Your experiences?

A huge congrats~!!! You have lost 93 lbs. That took a lot of work and effort. Keep on keeping on!

I don't always plan perfectly, but try to reserve 200 calories to be used toward a bedtime snack if I so choose. I also find that drinking a cup of hot tea (either regular black tea or one of the various flavors of herbal tea I keep on hand) can be very soothing and emotionally filling in the evening.

Hey, feel free to add me. I'm on here almost every day. Sometimes I have more time to befriend and encourage than others. I joined April 15 of last year. If you're curious about age, I'll be 60 in about 12 days, but certainly don't feel it! :) Best wishes for your success on this journey. Anybody else reading this is…

Sharmelle, Welcome to the group and to MFP! Unfortunately, for whatever reason we are not a very active group at all!! Anyway, I wish you all the best on your journey. MFP is whatever you make of it. For me it has been a great support.

Hi!:explode: I think there are quite a number of those here in the 2nd half of life. In fact, there is a group called Ladies over 50. I don't comment in the forums real often, but believe that is a way to make new friends. Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like. I'll be 60 in April!

I agree that the taste and texture of the 4% cottage cheese is SO much better than the low-fat kind....just my opinion!

Personally I can eat it plain just as it is. I like to use it as an easy breakfast food at times.....either plain or jazzed up with a bit of honey and cinnamon. Today I had it for breakfast with a bit of honey and pineapple salsa. Delish. I also use it on baked potatoes or in other ways that I've seen posted in this thread.

I did hear later on TV that the school acknowledged that it had, in fact, failed to notify some of the parents that their child's account was empty. Initially, the school said it had notified all parents of the 40-some children. That's about all I know. But I do feel that if the meals were already on the plates, the…

Congrats to you!! The proof is in the pudding. Lots of inches and pounds lost. Good dedication to a beautiful young lady!

Love your write-up, your positive attitude, your continued enjoyment of food (in controlled portions) and of your enthusiasm for your social life. Thanks for the reminder that we can lose weight and still enjoy life. By the way, I'm a bit envious of your ability to lose weight so quickly, but CONGRATS!!!:drinker:

Diane, The journey of 1,000 miles begins with that first step. Welcome aboard! And I see you have already lost 18 whole pounds! That in itself is quite an accomplishment....I know! One day at a time......

Hi! I'm still here although took a month-long break last month. Am curious as to HOW you found your church. I am in that process and it is hard. Also, it's just me.
