Hi Joe. I'm FTM too, on T, pre top surgery. I've got about 50 or so lbs left to lose and I too need to be dragging my butt to the gym.

Starting weight: 240(Feb 2020) / 198 (1/1/2021) Goal weight: 144 although I may amend this based on body fat percentage when closer. Current weight: 196.3 1/12/21 Total weight lost: 1.7 This week's successes: Drinking my water This week's challenges: Exercising enough

I'm at 12.3 miles, but I do a lot of walking at work and I count every step by FitBit.

I'm just getting back into running, I run in Vibrams. My suggestion, and what worked for me when I started running in '11 was to do a C25k program using the shoe of your choice or barefoot. Build up very slowly and listen to your body. There's no point in running in sneakers and then switching because you'll have to change…

I'm horrible at checking back in and updating these things BUT I need something this year so I'm going to commit to doing this. Update for me: I've gone from 238 in Feb to 200.6 as of this morning. I had bounced down to 199.6 in Sept but I started T on the 30th of Sept and I went up to 202, understandable given the hormone flux and the very nature of weight loss. I've been doing weight loss through the kitchen, counting calories but not exercising…

Hi Rav, Hi Fox, welcome to the group.

It's complicated, but my weight is part of what drives my hate for all reflective surfaces. I'm trans masculine but the extra weight I carry adds to my curves (I'm pre-op) and makes me present as more female. Even with a binder on my chest appears feminine, and that stresses me out. The good news is that I came out in Feb…

Hello everyone, I'm Adam. I'm trans masculine but I'm pre-everything right now so my body doesn't have the testosterone needed for working out/eating to affect me like it would a cis guy. So I kind of hover between male and female on what works for me. I'm here to lose weight for health reasons and to be better prepared…

I log everything because I have medical issues and I want to be able to reliably relay what I've been eating to my doctor.

Are you walking in your neighborhood or at a local track?? If in the neighborhood, is it hilly? Are you wearing walking/running shoes or? How long do you walk, timewise not distance? Personally I'd start with a short 5-10 minute walk, do it 3 times a week. When that becomes something you can reliably done then add a fourth…

look for the ones with the green checkmarks, as these are actually verified.

Hello All!! I'm in eastern NC (southern USA).

The scale finally budged again!!! I mean I know why it was holding still, but I'm glad it's on the move again. I gave blood today so I confined myself to an hour of walking around hunting Pokemon' with my kids.
-
It doesn't really burn calories but your body remaking the blood does, and yeah it does it over the course of a couple weeks. My question was more along the lines of do I want to slide my calorie goal upwards today to account for it. I think I'll take the suggestion to eat maintenance today and tomorrow and then go back to…

Eggs, depending on how you make them are low sodium. Maybe a protein shake?

I'm in, and hopefully, since it's daily I won't lose the blasted thread.

This is exactly what I wanted to hear, that they listened and didn't just dismiss you.

Hello, and Welcome!! I'm Adam and I am FTM, pre-T, and pre-surgery. I'm also on here to lose weight for surgery, although I did start this account, and ignored it years ago. I was still denying what I was and ignoring my body/stress eating as much as possible. But I came out to my husband in Feb, and feel a ton more…

I'm also 5'2" and set to sedentary but I wear a FitBit and eat my exercise calories back. I'm around 1600 a day this way.

Yes!! I'm here, I'm Adam, and I'm Pre-T and Pre-Op. Right now I'm trying to lose some weight so that I have less chest and so that I'm at a healthier point to make transition. I live in the USA, eastern NC to be specific.

You have two options as I see it, you can set your lifestyle to sedentary and wear a tracking device all day such as an Apple Watch or FitBit and it'll calculate the numbers for you. Or you can choose the lifestyle that most closely matches your average day. Pick one and do it for a few months to see if it's working for…
