Trans Masculine Calories question
Okay, so I've been on this site for a while and have been doing well. But I changed some things and I think I have to change my calories based on this. I am trans masculine and I just started testosterone therapy in September. T should give me a metabolism more in line with that of a cis male individual so I should go with…

Gave Blood today do I do a calorie bump?
I gave blood today, do I do a calorie bump or do I just increase me water intake? They had me take a cup of juice and some pretzels, which was fine but I don't normally do juice or drink anything with calories. Thoughts?

Starting T and Counseling.
I'm just under a month out from my first appointment to talk to my doctor about seeing a mental health person for my dysphoria, anxiety, and depression. I'm both super excited and stressed because I'm working through the veteran's (USA) healthcare system and they're not known for liberal viewpoints BUT they do recognize…

Hello, Back Again.
Hi everybody, I'm back again. I used to run in 2014 and 2015 but then we moved and I dropped it and being healthy in general. But life is starting to get less stressful and I'm going to try and get back into the swing of things. I'm at 211 and 37% body fat but my doctor says I can start so long as I go slow. So wish me…

Not pushing/pace?
Okay so I've been following a half marathon training program and am doing all the runs with out any real issues. My half has a time limit of a 16 minute mile. I've had a 15 m/m pace on my last two long runs. Which is good but I want better. Which isn't to say that anyone should be ashamed of a 15m/m pace, a mile is a mile…

My 10k saga
Yesterday was supposed to be my first running 10k in over a decade. Last one I ran was the Peachtree in July of 2003. However my husband and I double booked. He ended up signing up for the attached half marathon with the base's running team. So we thought no problem we'll get a sitter. First we tried my Mom, but she had…

Meeting up at the Tink Expo or post race.
Dear Tinkerbells, If you are interested in meeting up at the Expo on Saturday or for a lunch on Sunday please either PM me or reply here. My Mom and I will be arriving on Friday and would really enjoy meeting some of the other people who will be running the Tink with us. We can arrange to meet and do lunch at Downtown…

Mosquitos
Does anyone have a specific product that they can recommend to deter mosquitos while running? Going to try the repellent bracelets tonight. I haven't been bitten yet but my husband has 20 or so bites on him. Haven't had to deal with them while living in a desert area the last six years. I'm not a big fan of chemicals so…

I skipped ahead, now what?
Okay so tonight I should be running Wk7D3, no problems I can do that. But yesterday I ran Bridge to 10K Wk1D1 with no problems. Which I didn't think anything of until my husband said "well if you do wk7 now it'll just be like going backwards and not making progress". And then I thought well it was such a long run compared…

Runtastic App Accuracy?
I ran a 5k last night just to see how well I could do it. It wasn't a measured course just around the neighborhood. While I was doing it I had two apps up. The first one was my RunDouble Bridge to 10k trainer and the second was Runtastic. When Runtastic said I had gone 3.1 miles RunDouble had me at 3.8 miles. Annoying at…

Glutton for punishment.

Training Plans
Has anyone started training for the Tink or the Princess yet? If so what training plan are you using? I'm using the Run Double C25k plan and then the Non Runners Marathon Guide for Women (by Dawn Davis) to train for an actual half. I've walked the last ones but this one I want to actually run it all if possible. I'm making…

Texas Peeps
Hello everyone, I am 32 and a SAHM to two little boys. Our oldest is considered a special needs learner so I do homeschool with him. Our youngest is two. We also have two dogs and a couple of rabbits. Being home with them all helps keep the crazieness to a minimum. My starting weight was 220 but I'm down to 205 (not all on…

NAS Corpus Christi
Anyone at or has been at NAS CC? We're moving there in Sept and I just wanted to get a general idea of the area. I've been in TX before and loved it just not anywhere near the gulf. I know the beaches will not be the same as here in San Diego but I don't like the beach anyway so I'm not very concerned about that. We have…
