  • My baby is 5 weeks old. I'm at pre pregnancy weight but I'm still 3 stone overweight so have quite abit to lose. Anyone feel free to add me too, would be nice have other mamas as friends on here :)
  • Aww thanks for all your help girls. Think the cream is working again, it doesn't hurt as much as it did - still gets so much worse during a let down though. From the thrush I had 2 weeks ago I have scar tissue around my nipple, when my daughter has finished the nipple is white but I have bright red tender parts on it like…
  • Hi thanks for your post. Yeah it is white after she nurses (only nurses from one breast), I just assumed it was because her feeding was just making the thrush worse so it's definitely something I'll look into. I don't/never had a LC, wouldn't even know how to go about finding one. Did you have any treatment or feeding…
  • Thankyou. I've been using it 24 hours and its very slightly better. Hope it goes soon.
  • Just an update incase anyone has this same problem and finds this thread. My daughters and my thrush has cleared up now. It took my daughters 3 days to clear up and mine 8/9 days. The pain during breastfeeding started to ease off 6/7 days after starting treatment with completely painfree breastfeeding by day 9. The only…
  • We're not doing too bad now. My daughters thrush has completely cleared up now. I still have it and it's still really painful to feed her but it doesn't make me cry when I do now so it must be getting better! My daughter has started to dry nurse on the unaffected breast in the day so it's giving the other one a bit of…
  • My 15 month old only nurses from my right breast. It's been like that for 7 months and I've never had any supply issues. My left breast has pretty much dried up but my right one has compensated for it and produced the extra milk. The only thing I will say is that when feeding from one breast only I've noticed that one is…
  • Yeah my daughter has nystan drops, don't think they've affected her much yet though she is much more gassy than usual. The white areas in her mouth have gone now there just slightly red so it's really working for her. She only feeds from one breast, has been like that for 6/7 months. Would there be any chance if I fed her…
  • I don't think so, the cream says clotrimazole 1% I'm not sure what brand it is etc. It feels like it's actually getting worse :frown: I was actually crying with it last night whenever she had a feed. It's the worse pain I've ever had while breastfeeding and I had cracked/bleeding nipples the first couple of weeks. How long…
  • Thanks ladies. I managed to get us into the doctors and apparently we both have thrush. My daughter has drops and I've got cream. My doctor said if it's still painful after the weekend then I need to get back in as the thrush could have gone deeper into the breast and so I'll need a tablet form of treatment instead.…
  • Only just seen your message lj3jones. Were there any signs that your baby had it?
  • I don't think she's biting because I had a lot of trouble with that when she was first teething. It feels more like a burning pain than a sharp one. She was sitting with me on the floor a minute ago and when she laughed I noticed white patches in her mouth. Could this be thrush? I dont have white spots on my nibbles so…
  • Yeah it could be. She's got 12 teeth at the moment and I didn't have a problem with breastfeeding when she got them but the past few days she's been waking up literally every hour so it could be teething.
  • Thankyou! And good luck with your goals, you seem very determined and motivated and I have no doubt you'll find that rock hard stomach
  • Count me in! I'd love to be able to lose 5lb every month. Let's go for it.
  • Hi! I'm a stay at home mum of 2 (3yr old and 11 month old) and I'm addicted to food too. My main problem is food shopping because there's so much yummy bad food that's on sale and it's so cheap :frown: every week I've been I get a ridiculous amount of chocolate its really not good. So anyway yeah anyone feel free to add…
  • I feel for you. I have that exact same problem but my daughter is only 11 months old. My mum constantly says 'she doesn't need breast milk now she's just being greedy she doesn't need it that much' but my daughter nurses for comfort too so is on the breast quite alot in the day but that works for us. The comments that…
  • Hiya! Im 5'2 and weigh 182lbs so have a bit more to lose than you but add me if you'd like support and encouragement :-)
  • I'm completely in the same boat. The past 5 months I've put on 2 stone that I lost while on here so I'm back to lose it again, this time I'm not leaving! Anyone who'd like more friends please add me also :-)
  • Hi I'm a vegetarian too :-) I've never been vegan but I've been a vegetarian for just over 14 years now. I'm recently restarting my weight loss journey as I've put on alot of weight the past 5 months through stress eating. Anyone looking for new friends feel free to add me :-)
  • Hi! You can add your calories as an exercise or as a food. What I do is type 'breasfeeding' undet breakfast in my food diary and various options come up, I pick 'older child -200' and it gives me an extra 200 calories in my allowence. You can pick the right options on there that are suitable for you. Hope this helped…
  • This is the way I do mine too. I add mine under breakfast so I know how many calories I have left for the rest of the day.
  • Hi ladies! Another breastfeeding mama here. I'm currently breastfeeding my 8 month old, I'm not in maintenance but thought I'd duck in and say hi. When my daughter was 3 months old I weighed 185lbs and was exclusively breastfeeding. She's now 8 months old and I weigh 154lbs. I add my breastfeeding calories in my food diary…

Haven't got one, I really don't like the taste of pumpkin
  • Not particularly a joke but at work we were all pretty behind in our reports etc and a co worker suggested we skip lunch to get it all done and dusted as quick as possible, I looked at her, pointed to my body and said "Do I look like a girl who skips her meals?" They found it pretty funny and I got to eat lunch
  • Fenugreek really helps my supply too. Taking the recommended 6 a day works too well for me as it makes me really engorged and I start leaking etc (tmi?) but I take 2 in the evening after my main dinner every other day and my supply is plentiful and my daughter is 8 months now and still very much breastfeeding (really…

  • Thanks for the suggestions ladies, will give it a go. We co-sleep as well so it makes it more difficult to start a regime. Her dad has tried a couple of times to take her in the night but she just screams the house down and constantly reaches for me. Hopefully she'll sleep a bit better tonight.
