I quite like Isopure protein powder, cookies & cream. I was making it with skim milk but today tried it with almond milk. Delicious.

I used to hate running. Still sort of do. Until I discovered intervals. Much like C25k but without the goal of running for long periods of time. I simply run for a minute, walk for 2 minutes. Repeat 5 or 6 times. It's a great workout.

I went to said bachelorette party. Bride can confirm. At the start of the night, I was so this with my red wine (no way was I drinking from a red solo cup; I found a stem glass)... By the end of the night, this totally happened with the moscato...

Anyone else read the OP in Sheldon's voice? No? Just me then.

and quote, "Share when you most recently needed to work strategically and understand how issues impact the total environment."

Why is "Me" in quotes?

This is urgent?

I started last Feb (2013) at 4.5. Now I'm up to 5.1. I really don't worry too much about how fast I progress, but when it starts feeling "easy," I bump it up a decimal point.

Yes. I was in town for my husband's grandmother's funeral, staying with some family friends with young children. Her youngest, about 6, wanted to help me get ready. I went to get my dress out of the closet, hanging on a hanger. She looks at it. Looks back at me. And says, "are you really that fat?" Brat.

"blog is private" but fantastic nontheless!

Why are you worried about gaining muscle? Genetics dictate where you lose and gain fat. "Toning" or whatever phrase you wish to use will not change that. If by toning, you mean you wish to show some muscle definition (which is not the same as gaining muscle) and lose fat...Keep lifting, add some weight and switch to lower…

I really want some dance boots. And dance blades...so sick of the toe pick since I don't jump anymore.

Just a reminder, the private group is quite active. In there, we can freely discuss without parents butting in with their $.02. Send me a PM for an invite. All CFBC welcome. :drinker:

The private group is much more active...just sayin'

Speaking of averages, I take the weekly average of my daily weigh ins. It helps me account for those fluctuations and not be so bothered.

I met mine before MFP existed...

I'm incapable of guessing portion sizes correctly, apparently. Not to mention, the nutrition label is often contradictory...if it says a serving is so many cups and so many grams. I find these don't match if I actually weigh it.

I started weighing peanut butter...I really don't get as much as I would like for the calories. But as a rare treat, yum!

Ditto the food scale. Can't say enough good things about it. That's been my #1.

"You look better" indeed implies you didn't look as good before. Is it truth? Probably. But a "better" way to say that would be, "You look good." Is that so hard?

This confused me as well...

It depends on how much fat you have to lose. You can do a bit more reps for glycogen depletion. But we're talking 12-15. No higher than 15 per set. Lyle McDonald has a series discussing the benefits of this for the obese beginner. http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/training-the-obese-beginner.html But it's gotta be…

Your doctor would have had to prescribe phentermine. What does he/she say about all this? I would rely more on that answer than any answer you get here.

I weigh everyday and then calculate the weekly average.

How does one eat 2/3 of a cadbury egg?

I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing

I got some adjustable dumbbells and a ~$50 bench (one with a sufficient weight limit for my husband to use as well). I expect you'll outgrow the 3/5/10 lb weights pretty quickly.
