Thanks everyone. Your words are so encouraging. :-)

Thanks! I'm sure you can do it. Life is all about distractions isn't it? But tomorrow's a new day :-)
-
Thanks. I'm not always so positive lol but I do try.
-
Thanks. I'm very proud of myself and excited that I made it this far without giving up.

Good job everyone! I am a bit behind but I'm not giving up :) I really doubt I'll hit the 50 miles but I'm in for as many as possible without giving up. I did another 2 miles today.

Great job so far guys. A lot of people are really starting off strong. And if you haven't is not too late. Say you 'fail' and only walk 30 miles... It's it really failure to walk 30 miles in a month? So do what you can and have fun :-) I'm in this morning for 1.3 miles. I'll update my ticket later but that puts me at 5.5…

I'm actually waking myself up to go do day 8 right now :-) but this is the most crazy intense working out that I've ever done so I don't see myself ready to move up on day 11 and plan on it being more of a 60 day challenge for myself.

1.5 miles on the treadmill this morning :)

I grew up in a haunted house. I moved there when I was 7 and moved out at 17. I was the first in my family to figure it out. I remember the long drawn out arguments with my parents when almost immediately I insisted on sleeping with my door closed at night because of the people walking around in the hallway. "Its just…

You look fantastic! Congrats!

I'm in :) This goal goes really well with my 30 day shred plan (Today was day 6) and the beginners July challenge to walk 50 miles :) If I complete the first two surely this will go hand in hand... I hope.

Yes yes yes. He has been fantastic. He bought me a treadmill as soon as he saw how serious I was. He is always complimenting me (which is still strange cause he's never been one of those compliment people) and now he's even started trying to get in shape. Lately he has been saying things like "wow you are ALREADY looking…

Im pretty sure the El Paso version of this helped me get several pounds of what I now I have to lose lol. Its so yummy. I think if I use a)better tortillas b) less cheese c) no sour cream and d) no large side of chips and salsa, I will still eat too much of it cause its so freaking yummy :) but maybe worth a try on days…

My husband and I started dating almost 11 years ago and have been married close to 9 now. When we first met, I was in a 15/16 juniors pants size, he had to wear a belt to hold up his size 30 jeans. Now, I'm in a size 26 going on 24 and my husband is a solid 38... we've both gained a lot together and now we are both working…

Made a new one and book marked the page. Hopefully I can update this one better :)
-
Im new to this ticker thing, how do you update it? I did 2.7 miles today :)
-
You wont regret it :) My favorite part of my HRM is the fact that I'm always looking for new exercises (aka exercising more) so that I can see how many calories I burn. It keeps me active and gives me exercise goals.
-
Someone pass the tissue this way too :blushing: CONGRATS!!!
-
I'm 307lbs... I'm sure that affects the large number of calories burned on mine.
-
I use a heart rate monitor and manually enter it but I checked under circuit training general and it was kind of close to what my hrm said... 465 on the monitor usually (or something within 10 cals) and circuit training says like 504. So if you use that just remember its probably over a bit.
-
I'm with the side of not counting it as exercise. I consider those type days to be very active and make sure I eat on the high end of my calories and of course make sure I'm not hungry but I only log in solid exercise. I got a heart rate monitor to track everything I do to intentionally be physically active.

I'm just did day 5 and am having a rest day today. Day 6 tomorrow. :-) Anyone feel free to add me and we can encourage each other through it
-
I'll try for the 50 as well with a personal goal of 10 'out side' miles not done on my treadmill :-)
-
Bump for my friend :-)

And again the list of marriages that won't make it six months. What happens afterwards if he gains some back?
-
I think it would be different if the bride got all of her bridesmaids together and they made a big deal out of all of them working out/eating right/getting in shape together for the big day. A true friend wouldnt say (or shouldn't say) If you dont lose weight your not good enough to be in the wedding.

Wow that is so much detail, thank you.
