My friend Rachel told me to aim for 30% = that is what I've been doing and it is working well. A good realistic goal.

I can weigh the 1 oz out after its done but i don't think it will be right because I *think* the meat loses about 70% of its weight during dehydration. I need to figure it out. So, i know how much calories 1oz would be pre-dehydration but i'm guessing it weighs a lot less (and therefore is a lot more calories per ounce)…

i'm embracing Peanut butter right now. also love Baby Bell light or Laughing Cow light cheese wedges for a cheese hit. i need to find a good hummus to eat with celery, most the ones i look at are quite high in fat?

I've been reading lots about strength training burning fat more than cardio does (lean muscle does it), which helped me decide to add more strength type workouts to my full cardio workout plan i've been following. Leslie

I love Zumba. I do it at home with my Wii and it is an awesome work out. Once you know all the moves and can do each one with lots of emphasis and effort the calorie burn is great - and it is FUN. Never thought I`d find an exercise I find FUN. lol. I`ve lost just shy of 20lbs. I started doing Zumba (and some 30 day shred)…

a few of my fav snacks right now: 4 soda crackers with 1 T peanut butter fat free vanilla yogurt with cinnamon airpopped popcorn 4 ginger snap cookies (mmm, the crunch!) pistacio nuts 28 `good health` veggie baked chips

thanks for the advice. Much appreciated.

I`ve decided to give this a try. I would like to lose 40 lbs. I`ve lost 20lb over a long period of time. This month I lost around 8 lbs but this week nothing. I have changed many things about my diet, eating mostly whole foods and trying to stay away from sweets and butter, etc. I have consistently kept my cal intake to…

Zumba. Awesome cardio and I find it `Fun`. too. Leslie :)

i really like it. within 5 workouts i found my endurance had gotten way better and i could get through the push-up section at the start of level 1 - something i didn`t think i would be able to do. i got stronger fast. moving on to level 2 soon.

congrats. keep up the great work. i didn`t take before photos. i guess i should of.

i was a gymnast too Jen and i love being barefoot but my ankle (i have a bad one) couldn`t bare the jumping. i finally found a pair of reebok shoes that are not super constricting on my feet and i`m finally happy wearing shoes. they don`t feel cramped and confined. my last pair of runners: it felt like i could feel every…

I do Wii Zumba almost every day. I have been doing it for a few weeks and love it. You burn a lot of calories IF you get all the steps down right and can follow along and put lots of effort into every move. If you struggle with the dance steps, then you won't burn half as much because you will be missing the movements and…

If you like to dance, I love Zumba2 for Wii. Awesome workout. I usually do 45 minutes.

Jennifer, I found this older post: maybe it will help. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/139393-jillian-michaels-shred-it-with-weights

i did this yesterday. A small popcorn with butter was 49 g of FAT! Ack. So, I made my own microwave and added some butter - packed it up and took it to enjoy with a diet pop. i felt satisfied even though i'm a die-hard popcorn movie gal.

i'm hoping to make the chicken recipe (1st recipe) in the coming day or 2... once i have all the ingredients i need. Leslie

I'd love to be added. I'm always looking for new recipes that help me stay on track.

ok. that is good to know. i hated feeling guilty for eating a fruit.

it is confusing b/c i used to do weight watchers and it was basically "free" food if you were eating fruits and veggies. I would like to work even more fruit in to my daily meals but then my sugar would be quite high.

me too. wondering same thing.

i made this the other day and served with rice and enjoyed. the whole family liked it. I plugged in the det's and it worked out to approx 260 cal serving and then the rice is extra. Not bad served with a side of roasted brussel sprouts. http://mmmcafe.blogspot.com/2010/01/honey-sauced-chicken.html Next time I would add…

Congrats, you look wonderful. I am starting a similar journey. I weigh about what you did and want to get to somewhere between 150-160lbs (i'm short)... and then i'll reassess from there. I think i'll be very happy at ahealthy and curvacious weight... i too like some curves :)

It isn't great on its own. I use it if I want a hit of sweet on my fruit. It is really good on Chapman's red cherry frozen yogurt. Just don't use a lot of it... a little goes a long way. I also like it drizzled lightly on strawberries.
