Hello again :) I'm returning after a year or so break during my first pregnancy. My DD is 7 months old now, and I'm still 20 lbs over my pre pregnancy weight. So I'm looking for new friends to help motivate each other. (I'm 5'11 and 30) B)

5'11.5 here. Most of my height is in my legs making clothes shopping difficult :p

Hi all. Bremerton here, but like a few others we are military so moving is always a looming reality. I'm originally from so. Ca but absolutley love it here. Hoping and praying we can stay in this area as long as possible. Feel free to friend me, and I would LOVE meeting other people nearby for motivation, workouts, and/or…

Its your height. Its both a blessing and a curse. Don't despare though, keep at it and people will begin to notice. I'm 5'11 and after losing 30 lbs, people are finally noticing.

New shoes with better support can help or for a cheaper alternative you can try dr scholls sport insoles. They provide extra arch support, and those combined with better shoes completely eliminated all my shin pain. No matter what you choose do not ignore this. You can severly injure yourself.

Thanks guys! You're so nice! :smooched: Yeah I'm really happy about seeing my face slim down. I've never really had defined cheeckbones, but when I couldn't find them anymore it was scary! lol

Thanks Ladies! I will definatly be staying around, just had to enjoy the holiday weekend with my hubby <3 BFit40- Looking at your ticker aren't you already in normal BMI range? We're the same height and have almost the same goals!

The idea of an "afterburn" after working out is a myth. It would be nice, but don't pad your account with extra calories you didn't really burn.
-
Just had to share with you ladies, weighed in today and the scale said 179.4. I'm finally back in normal BMI range! (And I did 20 push ups last night ;) )

When I was a healthy weight before I was a size 10. I'm slowly working my way down there again, but being 5'11 my final goal weight is higher than some members beginning weight. It comes down to height most of the time.

Jcpenney also carries what they call "ultra talls" which have even longer inseams! Also target has also startred carrying longs in. Their jeans. Its a good cheapb option for transition sizes. ;)

I would love to have more tall ladies as friends on here. All my MFPals are awesome, but lets face it, there are some challenges we face that others just don't understand.
-
Love love love seeing so many tall beautiful ladies on here! I'm 5'11 and just about to hit my halfway point on this weightloss journey. Ill be sure to take pics and post them here later. ;)

Yes! As the water heats up the flavor of the garlic will leach out and be infused with the rice. It may take some experimenting to get the proper strength of garlic, but it will flavor it. My host-mom in Japan likes to put mushrooms, dried seaweed, or beans in the rice cooker when she starts it. (They have this one type of…

TOTALLY. I was very thin before and got a lot of unwanted attention from males. I was so insecure as to how to react and moving out of the saftey of my hometown only made the whole thing worse. Thats when I started gaining weight and the attention dimished. Its starting to come back again, but I am so much more comfortable…

Really its up to your body. Do you feel the need to increase or cna your easily make your goal everyday? I increased mine after seeing less than steallar results and uits one of the best things I could have done. Be true to yourself andf you'll never go worng. ;)

I don't have that dvd, but have others that I've done in the past. They really do work you out well. Good luck!

You can try checking active.com, thats how I found some activities in my area. Or just google your area and walkathon or 5k (there are always walkers for those). Good luck!

If there are less than 20 restaurants to the chain then they are not required by the FDA to provide or configure any nutritional information for their menu. I know, it sucks. My hubby and I love supporting our local family owned places, but I feel frustrated not know exact amounts to what is going in my mouth. Just try to…

When my heels get REALLY bad then I will slather some vaseline (petroleum jelly) on just before bed and sleep with socks on. If you are worried about the jelly making a mess through the socks you can wrap some plastic wrap around before slipping the socks on. I do this when my heel actually splits. After 15 minutes of so I…

Which Firm video is it? I usually log it as circuit training unless I'm doing a cardio one, then I just log it as aerobics.

I eat a lot of eggs too and don't see the harm in it. They are a great form of protien. (Though I am jealous of your extra fresh eggs ;) ) If you are using a fat like butter to cook them then I would add that in with your diary. Those little pats do add up.
-
Thats a big accomplishment in my book! Congrats!
-
You can do it! Working out at base gyms can be intimidating, but its all worth it in the end. :)

I'm not too sure how much of a difference it will have. I have put in my weight and age and the ellipticals I use have the HRM in the handles. After my workout the cals burned on the machine are almost always lower than what MFP puts in. I always change it to reflect the lower number. If anything the extra calories burned…
