  • I joined FITOCRACY.com for the same reasons. I get bored! Fitocracy gives you POINTS for working out, so you're competeing against friends/others. It's addicting! You have to request an invite, which you'll receive in a day or two, usually. If you look it up on facebook, they might have a code for you. If you DO join, look…
  • I agree, you won't find a better site!
  • It takes a day or two. I got mine the day after I requested it. If you go to their facebook page, there's a code. It only works for the first 50 people (I think they said), if that doesn't work, you'll have to wait for you code. It's worked for everyone else...
  • Once you get your invite to fitocracy, make sure you go to the group section. I've made a group called "MyFitnessPals" and I hope to see you all join so we can keep each other motivated. Can't wait for this to take off Monday, 05/16/2011!!!
  • If you DO join FITOCRACY --- I've created a group called (what else) MyFitnessPals so we can keep each other motivated. Hope to see you all there!!!
  • You're welcome. I really think that this will keep people motivated. I can't wait to see the progress and how much of a 'butt kicker' it'll be! Best of luck and can't wait to 'compete' with you! :)
  • I really appreciate all the possibilites you've come up with. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me!!! Once I get insurance at the end of the month, my first stop will be my doctor! I used to teach pilates, and need to get back into it. Although, even though my abs were AWESOME, my lower back would still flair…
  • First week's total was 4866 -- BUT I injured myself at boot camp and have been laid up since Friday with an aggrivated sciatic nerve that's making my hips and parts of my left leg go numb randomly. I HATE not working out, so I'm going to try and rollerblade tomorrow, at least. Height: 5'9" SW: 144 CW: 142.5 GW: 125-ish…
  • Sounds fun! SW: 143 GW: 120-ish So far, my burned calories are: 25th: 1250 calories burned 26th: 580 calories burned only a HUGE CHUNK LEFT! :) ADD ME AS A FRIEND & KEEP ME MOTIVATED!
  • I love my POLAR HRM. I bought it at Big 5 a few years ago (it's actuallyt he second one I've purchased). It measures how long you've been working out for, Calories burned, how long you've been in your Target Heart Rate and what your Target Heart Rate range is. It's a chest strap & watch. Super easy to use and read! Message…
  • I have used Polar HRM since the early 2000's and have loved them! They're comfortable and track everything I want them to track. The one I have, not sure of the model -- but it is an older one -- tracks HR/Calories/Total time in my target HR zone/tells me what my THR should be and how long I've been working out for....just…
  • The machine's are a 'general idea' of calories burned -- at least from what I was told. Even though you fill in all of your stats, it doesn't have anything to measure how hard you're actually working. The heart rate watch (I LOVE MINE!!!), even though you enter your stats, has something to measure. It's seeing how hard…
  • I'm in!!! What a GREAT idea! :)
