One of the kids I babysit makes me artwork as presents. She made me a snowman. He's got his hands on his "hips" and a huge frown. He's got red lines running down his body. I asked her what the red lines were, she said he's been shot. I admit I'm a touch twisted, but I love it so much it's not even funny. It's on permanent…

What does your mother have to say about your father telling you that you look "disgusting" and calling you names?

I love white quinoa with blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, cashews and a lil bit of coconut oil for breakfast.

I do IF and 5:2. For me, it's a great tool for managing my calorie goals on a weekly basis, vs a daily one, that works well in my lifestyle. My eating window is either 10-6 or 12-8, depending on the day, and then the two days of eating around 500 calories. You still need a calorie deficit if your goal is to lose weight,…

I've had a couple of girls laughing about how that "that fat ***** is going to break the treadmill." I think they were irked because there were only two treadmills left, one on either side of me. They wanted to be next to each other, but there I was in the middle. If they had asked I would have moved, but instead they were…

I do a combination of all three I guess. I generally have an 8 hour window, but will expand that to a 10 hour window close to my cycle. I also do 5:2. I've been doing that for about two months and I think it's going to be a long term, if not permanent, way of eating for me. I love it. Can you link to whatever source you…

I do. My window moves from 10-6 to 12-8 depending on my schedule for the day. I've been doing it for about 6 weeks now, combined with 5:2. I'm losing consistently and it has helped me end my habit of grazing at night.

Someone once told me you should treat managing your health like a part time job. For some reason, thinking of it that way works for me. In the end, I get paid in energy, better health, and weight loss. It does become second nature after a while, and a worthwhile time investment.

Are you tracking sodium? I have a friend who stays bloated unless her sodium levels are really low. Have you checked into food sensitivities?

One of the kids I take care of told me I looked so beautiful one day, then added "usually you look like you got hit by lightning."

I'm on my 4th week of 5:2. Sometimes I only manage do fast once a week. It depends on my schedule (I have a hard time fasting on my slower days, I need to be busy enough to forget about eating).

It took me about three weeks for my body to adjust to an IF eating window. I would personally suggest that you count calories while your body is adjusting (and maybe for a little while afterwards) just to be sure you are getting the proper nutrition.

Congrats and thank you for posting this.

My advice would be to ask your gp or oncologist (if you are still seeing one) if they can refer you to a dietitian with experience working with cancer survivors, who can help you build a plan best suited for someone with on your medical history. Having researched isagenix thoroughly, I would personally skip it.

My walking partner and I are both doing 5:2. I'm logging. She's not. We are both losing. I'm losing at a faster rate at this point, but she's losing consistently. If I remember correctly, she is limiting herself to veggies and berries on her fast days, so I think that's how she's keeping her calories down.

I'm working on losing about 80 more (for a total of 100) and then planning on reevaluating then. I was recently diagnosed with a lot of food sensitivities, and eliminating them has helped me feel like I'm on an even playing field and actually could lose the weight. Feel free to add me.

No. You make a claim, it's up to you to have the sources to back it up. Name calling because you were asked to cite YOUR source (as the person making the claim) is inappropriate.

I like www.doyogawithme.com. They have a lot of videos of varying styles and lengths. They also have programs you can download that give you a plan for 2-5 videos per week depending on your level.

I get those pretty regularly. For me, I figured out that most of the time I have unidentifiable cravings, my body actually either wants water or protein. The rest of the time it's just being weird.

33, childfree. I'm a nanny, and consider that the best form of birth control. I currently have three cats but you never know what is going to move in/out. I take in small animals from our animal shelter (which is very small and ill-equipped for small animals) to find them homes.

I make falafel a lot. I get a mix because I'm culinarily challenged. I form some of the mix into falafel balls, and make veggie burgers with the other. I usually get 4 "burgers" and 10-12 balls out of one box (which costs $3-5 depending on where I can get it.)

When I was a teenager, I was obsessed with The Journey of August King and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. I haven't seen them in a long time, so if I rewatched I might not love them as much.

She said it in response to her own frustration with herself and her situation. I have an optic condition. It's bad enough to impact my day to day life, including prevent me from driving, but it is not bad enough for my doctors to want to risk surgery for it yet. A friend with a similar condition has had a ton of help from…

Nice! I've been looking into a recumbent myself. What kind did you get?

I stopped eating meat in January for health reasons. It worked so well for me that I'm continuing.
