  • Tetley sell a mild green tea which i find with a bit of honey is so much better than other green teas. I also think the hipster tea you are referring to is the general black tea we get in the UK, which usually we add milk and sugar too. (I can't tell where you live so you may be referring to this)
  • I say start by just focusing on the calories then slowly you will start to notice what kinds of unhealthy foods you eat and when. Then you can focus on making your diet healthier. Rushing into eating salads at every meal has never worked for me, it's too strict and I fail instantly. Don't be so hard on yourself.
  • I saw this on tumblr and it really changed my outlook. 'How do I stay motivated?' 'This is probably isn't going to be what you want so I apologise BUT **** motivation. Motivation is an unreliable little ****. It comes and goes and it's not what you want to rely on to get you through really tough workouts. Instead of…
  • It just makes me want to throw up. I suppose that's still technically losing weight though. The diet is not worth the psychological pain, it's like every fad diet, it makes your relationship with food very distorted.
  • My current goal is to lose 24 pounds by February as I'd like to start swimming regularly again next year and feel comfortable doing it. My overall weight loss goal is to lose between 90 and 100 pounds. 100 pounds really?! I can't believe I can even say that. Well actually it's now 84-94 which sounds much better  Non…
  •    at least they were optimistic that you wouldn't die.
  • I've seen a few times people mixing them into cooked vegetables like a light cauliflower cheese or any veg really. You can stir them into pasta too. I'm not a massive cheese lover which some people on here seem to be so my taste in cheese probably isn't as good as their's since I like the laughing cow haha.
  • I always forget to defrost chicken so i normally just add veggies to curry sauce and have some rice or i do a veggie stir fry. I used to be a veggie so I have a lot of vegetarian cook books, most of it is like vegetable pattie type things. Bit like falafel.
  • Yes definitely weigh everything, you'll think you know what a portion looks like but you're probably way off. I was so shocked when what I thought was a portion of porridge was actually more like THREE! Just weighing my food has done so much for me already.
  • Try flavoured water instead of juice or coke. I've switched to sparkling peach water and its very low cal, low sugar and better for your teeth. My motto is baby steps. Cut down or work on small areas at a time and soon it will add up to something big.
  • Oh 115 makes sense then. Here in the UK doctors will usually give you mini goals so the first goal weight doesn't sound so unattainable that you just want to give up before you even start so it's not so overwhelming but some of them just say 'lose weight, go away' basically. Haha. Maybe you should split up your big goal…
  • How tall are you? I'm trying to lose 90-100 pounds, probably more like 90 but I'll see when I get there. Feel free to add me, the more friends the merrier :) In regards to 'eating back your calories' my philosophy is eat if you're hungry. If you're really not hungry, there's no need to eat them back. I think that teaches…
  • Being in onederland is what's pushing me right now. I'm currently at the point that i would normally give up (5 pounds lost) but I refuse, I am sticking to it! I will be in the 100's! Well done :)
  • I'd say right now that I would overeat. I'm quite good at being able to round the calories and add them in my head but I think my portions would all be too big and I'm likely to fudge it a bit and say 'oh one more piece of chocolate wont hurt' and end up eating the whole bar. Right now I need to be tracking but i'm working…
  • What are you supposed to say when people notice you have this giant piece of plastic in your mouth, people are just going to think you're a lunatic! Well actually you are if you get that done. I'd much rather endure the pain of restraining from eating more than 2 chocolate biscuits at a time then go through that.
  • I just finished watching it and I quite enjoyed it. I thought it was quite honest which a lot of those shows aren't they usually just show the good results to promote the programs but it wasn't all good news, a real account I'd say. It was a bit sad though because some of them were very consumed by it all and even when…
  • What is the program called I can't seem to find anything on iplayer. *edit*: right after i send this i find it. It's called welcome to the world of weight loss right.
  • Wow you look so different, well done.
  • I've noticed this too. The ww ready meals and crisps and everything all just have really tiny portions. The only ww thing I like is the frozen brownie dessert because I actually think it tastes really nice. Other than that I'd never get any other ww stuff. All of that diet stuff usually tastes disgusting. If you've tried…
  • Having lots of room in chairs, how to skinny people get into some of those sitting positions?! Not being afraid of doing certain activities with friends just in case I'm too big or too unfit. Getting my confidence back. Being able to wear a skirt all day because my legs won't rub together so much that they are bright red…
