  • cool. thanks!
  • Thanks for the advice. I'm actually down 1/2 a pound and not hungry all the time for once. I'm going to get back to the gym this weekend for resistance training and probably just 30 minutes of intervals on the treadmill (sprint 1 min, walk 2). That's the plan anyway!
  • Elektra: my fiancée is a runner and really into carbs, so I make a big batch of Jasmine rice in the rice cooker (so easy!) and bake about 5 sweet potatoes once or twice a week. Then I microwave and serve that with whatever protein and veggies (frozen or fresh from garden) I am having. That way we get our different meals,…
  • I haven't tried these yet, but these are low carb muffins using ground flax meal. I just bought the flax meal, but they look easy enough and they list the carb counts for everything: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/453964-low-carb-muffin-in-a-minute
  • Feel free to add me, my journal is open.
  • Ugh. Up .4 again. :(
  • Congrats everyone! I'm up .4 :( but I only ran once this week.
  • Get back on track. I normally work from home, but had to go into the office yesterday. First thing: a co-worker came around with some kind of pound cake (I didn't look too close). I said no, thank you. Second thing: it was employee appreciation day - free lunch (hamburgers, bbq, coleslaw) with free dessert (cotton candy!…
  • Started on Day 2. Full sit ups hurt my back so I just combined crunches with sit ups and did 28 crunches instead.
  • I've seen other threads on this topic. A good rule of thumb that seemed to work for people is to eat back only 1/2 of what MFP says you burned. That way, you are getting more fuel, but not overdoing it with how MFP over-calculates calories burned.

  • Starting weight (May 22) 165.8 Today's weight 161 -4.8 Woo Hoo! (esp. since I GAINED 2 last week!)
  • I totally get the ring thing. I was able to put on a ring I haven't worn since my 20's, and my mom's wedding set fits...she was tiny, lol.
  • My name is Lynn, I'm 45 and live in Central Florida. I was always thin and active (runner) until about my mid-20's when I went back to college full time while working full time. My weight crept up over the years from long hours and poor food choices. I've finally had some success this year with a supportive bf and a move…
  • I just turned 45. I don't want to get to 50 (or 46) and wish I had done something about the extra weight! I was on a roll for a while, but I seem to be stuck since December going up and down with the same 2-3 pounds. So frustrating! I did it mostly with diet, so I'm adding exercise back in to see if I can break this…

  • I love being able to shop in my own closet and wear the things I've been hanging on to for so long!
