  • And way to go for not giving in to the sugar cravings the other night! It's all about taking it one step at a time, and to keep working at it, even when we feel we lose control.
  • I can totally sympathize, and struggle with binge eating and bulmia, although, other the past few months I have gained a lot more control over purging, and am now trying to stop the binging. There's another thread on here that I comment on, similar to this one, where people have shared their stories and are supporting one…
  • Past two night I have gone straight up to bed, instead of into my kitchen looking for food as had become my habit. i think i might be over eating during the day, so i'm going to be really diligent about logging what I eat, so I can really track my progess. It would be nice to begin a see a shift in my weight.
  • @comfortfood - good for you for actively incorportating the fruits and veggies into your diet! so important! i've been a steady weight at 165 for some time, so i'm hoping this challange will get the scale moving. I want to be out of the 160s, and nicely moving into the 150s, by Sept. 4, which should be completely doable as…
  • i'm in!! Double, double, double!
  • Yesterday was really good for me! First time in a while where I didn't indulge my sweet tooth during the day or evening! Here's to Day #2!
  • Thank you for initially starting this group! I have struggled with this, as well as bulimia, for a number of years, some months more intense than others. I always wanted it to stop, but never knew how, and was so ashamed. About 10 months ago it started getting really bad, and I relate totally to those on here who have said…
  • I'm in! I'm not a big soda drinker to begin with, but it's the sweets that kill me!! I really am trying to get that tooth under control. Am excited about this challenge to do so.
  • Hasn't been a great week for me.... Went over my calories quite a bit, and wasn't able to exercise as much as I normally do. Hoping I will get back into it over the weekend and stay focused.
  • Friday update: Definitely not one of my strongest weeks! Was only able to exercise once during the work week!... and didn't do very well on my goal of no late night snacking... 2 out of the 5 days this week I did... Going to go to the gym after work today so I will weigh myself then and get at least another work out in…
  • Me - 4 Snacks - 2 Here's hoping to continuing to scale back the snacks over the weekend and next week!
  • Last night I had a craving for a late night snack after coming home from a movie (where I passed on the popcorn and felt good about doing it), but I had already gone slightly over my calories for the day. So I asked myself if I was going to be serious about a lifestyle change, or if I was going to go back to my old habit…
  • Good work everyone and keep sticking to your goals! The timing of this challange really works for me. Here are my goals: 1. Drink 8-10 glasses of water per day. 2. Log all my calories into MFP, and even if I go over, don't get discouraged and keep at it 3. Continue exercising 4-6 times a week 4. Allow myself one snack…
  • Just saw this thread, and I'd like to start now if that's alright :) Goals: 1. Exercise: Four days of cardio/ two days of strength training 2. Diet: Eat my allocated calories - no snacking after dinner, unless one piece of fruit or veggie - and drink my 8 glasses of water!! 3. Lose 10 pounds Woo! I'm excited!
  • Count me in!! This thread is exactly what I need!
  • Thanks everyone for what you've had to say. I really find it helpful and am ready to do my best to make a lifestyle change and get whatever help I need. Appreciate the thoughts!
