  • Avery Earl was born September 15, 2011@ 12:58am. He was 7lbs 10 oz 20 inches long. I'll post my labor/delivery story soon but; long story short- water broke and I took forever to contract. I was in labor for 24 hours. Hardest thing I've ever experienced but he was worth it all. We're at the hospital until Saturday.
  • 9 days leftlets get this show on the road, Avery!
  • Ron- I LOVE the picture of your hubby kissing your belly and the one of you by yourself in black and white! I think the dress looked great! You looked beautiful :flowerforyou: And in all honesty, you don't look like you've gained as much as you actually have AT ALL! I'm thinking a lot must be fluid for you which will…
  • Add to my already confused state- I am off 24hr bed rest but I still need to be taking it easy and laying down during the day. I don't see how laying down is going to help put me into labor anytime soon though. I would think it would just prolong it instead. I'm ready for Avery to be here already- I am seriously in so much…
  • Isabella Rose is my favorite. I like Madison but it sounds very close to her older sister's name (Madison and Allison).
  • Congrats Lindsey- she's precious! I love the outfit you have her in!
  • Congrats on another boy :flowerforyou: Any names picked out?!
  • Ron- So glad baby flipped! Yahoo! I'm sorry your Strep B was uncomfortable, I found that to be a breeze! I refused a check at my appointment this week and am unsure if I'll okay them to do one next week or not. You can refuse them though, you do have that right, FYI. Dropped off my 24 hour urine collection (what fun that…
  • Thanks for the thoughts. I'll let you know what I find out tomorrow. Jen- The only thing I'm not showing is protein so I got sent home with the 24hr urine collection (talk about a pain in the *kitten*). Had blood work done and will know for sure Thursday afternoon. How far along were you when you delivered?
  • I was put on strict 24hr bedrest today after a regular appointment turned into 2 hours and blood work. Long story short. chances are very high that I have preeclampsia. I have gained a total of 20lbs entire pregnancy- 9 of that was in the last 13 days On top of all of the sudden swollen feet/hands, headaches, and spots in…
  • Sorry for the reaction you got to this. I have always gone to board members here for pros/cons about this specific topic and have never received any backlash (With that being said- I probably would if we went to family with it though). You just need to do what you feel is best for YOUR baby. That is what it boils down to.…
  • It's supposed to be done within the first couple days that the baby is here. So, generally done at the hospital you give birth at by a general doctor. Last number we were told was $500 but it isn't for sure. We still don't know if we're going to have it done or not though.
  • Officially baby month for me and officially fullterm as of yesterday:love:
  • Glad your recent baby showers went well ladies! How have you all been feeling? Ron- Love the mural! What is on the left of the ark next to the giraffe? I've been trying to figure it out but it's small so I can't really tell! Your husband is quite the artist though!!! I had my Strep B yesterday which honestly was nothing,…
  • Jen- Someone bought us the rock and play sleeper and I’ve heard nothing but raves about it from other Mom’s. I’m hoping it is that good! Melissa- Yeah, maintenance below was pretty bad here too. But all is well again! I bought a cheap pair of men’s clippers per Mel’s suggestion in the past and it worked out better than any…
  • I was told today that this was my last "pants on" doctor appointment totally caught me off guard at first! I immediately thought "Guess it's time to REALLY weedwhack!!" I am officially in the every week appointment zone now. I'll have my Strep B done next week as well as checking to see if I've dilated :noway:…
  • Do whatever you are comfortable doing! I couldn't imagine doing much for outings right now, let alone being overdue. Don't let your MIL get to you. You need to do what is best for you and baby :flowerforyou: Tell that sweet baby of your's it can enjoy tummy time out of the belly too
  • Thank you! I couldn't imagine doing any of this without my husband. I'm just hoping that it doesn't even become an issue; if it does, look out! Headaches do get better- I had migraines for awhile. A cold Coke/Pepsi and 2 tylenol were the only thing that sometimes helped me. And FYI we're expecting a boy and his heartbeat…
  • Our hospital is over an hour away, one way so driving back and forth isn't an option. Not to mention he refuses to not be at the hospital and I want him there at all times too. If we happen to get a split room and I don't kill someone over it, he'll have to get a hotel room for the night. I don't think we'll get to that…
  • I had a dream last night that I went into labor. I remember that I was 36 weeks and worried but he ended up playing games (contractions/no contractions etc.) so he ended up coming between 36-37 weeks. Ummm that's like a little over a week away! Here's hoping that was just a dream! Major Venting here: We had out second to…
  • Thinking of you! Hope it's soon
  • Hubby and I were always on board with having babies but we never had the baby fever at the same time for quite awhile. But, like everyone has said, you could come up with a MILLION reasons why NOT to have a baby, but everything WILL work out for you and that little one either way. It always does.
  • How long have you been on the pill? I was on the pill for a few years, didn't start trying until I had been off it for over 2 and it still took us about a year to get pregnant, even though bc had stopped 2+ years prior to. My best friend stopped the pill on her wedding day and it took her 10 months to get pregnant.…
  • This was when I first started noticing BH was after working out, especially after walking. My dr said it was of the norm.
  • Jalyn- Glad to see you back around again :) And so happy to hear you and DH are TTC :flowerforyou:  Ron- You aren't alone! Any sane person that is pregnant has thought that! I'm in the phase of; is this real? Are we really pregnant? Am I really giving birth in the matter of weeks? We wanted it for so long that…

  • I'm taking it with a grain of salt- I'm just telling myself that he'll be here next month either way because even if I go at say 38 weeks or am induced at 41 he'll be a September baby!
  • Hope everyone had a good weekend! We got a few things done on our "To do before Avery is Here" list. Still so much to do and time is just flying by! And call me crazy but I have a suspicion that we're going to have an earlybird on our hands... watch because I say that he will be late now  I have an appointment today…
  • We've decided to approach it like this; We will call the immediate family when I go into labor if they can handle not telling people and NOT coming to the hospital. We will call them as soon as the baby is born and let them know when it would be a good time to visit. This day is about us and bonding as a family of 3 (for…
  • Hope everyone is doing well and having a good weekend  I'm shooting my last wedding of the season today, and not a moment too soon. I'm now wondering why I agreed to it but we'll get it done!
