Ok, well I can't afford any books. What websites have the best routines?
-
Don't professional athletes do the same exercises pretty much every day though? I know I'm not a professional athlete, but presumably they weren't either when they started.

I do lots of rowing, face pulls, reverse flies, and all of the usual shoulder exercises. It doesn't seem to be helping much so far, but my posture is a mess so I know it'll take a while to fix. I've heard that working my chest will tighten my chest muscles and pull my shoulders forward more. I think it was overworking my…

I already have a lot of muscular imbalances and I'm trying to use my own routine to correct these. I can't find a programme which is tried and tested and which helps with my specific muscular imbalances unfortunately.

I mean outdated as in it has flaws, and that programmes since are better as they don't have the same flaws, like Windows 98 is outdated compared to Windows 7. I can't find a recognised routine that fits what I want though, that's the problem. There aren't really any routines that cut out chest completely, and focus on a…

I'd heard Wendler 531 was a bit outdated and there are better, more recent programmes, but this may not be true.

I'll be doing overhead press. The accessories I'm looking for will be for my shoulders and upper back. I have bad posture with my shoulders hunching/rolling forward. This is why I am not doing chest exercises and want to do a lot more on my shoulders/upper back. I also have a really weak core, so I was hoping to do core…

I'd be having two rest days a week, as well as the other 23 hours a day when I'm not at the gym, and I was hoping that that would be enough. There are millions of programmes out there and I just don't know which one to do. Plus, most include exercises which work the chest, and I'm don't want to work my chest at the moment,…

I'm hoping that it will improve my strength. I wouldn't be doing maxes or anything, just like 5x5 on around 70% probably.

Sugar won't have anything to do with it. It might just be how your body is. It may be bloating from the types of food you eat, or weak core muscles.
-
You can't spot reduce, so no, there are not any exercises you can do to spot reduce unfortunately.
-
If you don't want it to get bigger than don't do squats.

That's why using percentages to work out your macros isn't that useful. Eat the 2700 calories per day, and if after a few weeks you are putting on weight then drop it down 100-200 calories or something. Most people can lose weight on much higher calories than MFP suggests.
-
If you are a beginner and you eat around maintenance or a small deficit then you can gain some muscle for around the first 6 months if your macros and workout are good. If you eat in a deficit on days you don't work out, and a surplus on days you do, then it's just going to average out, so by the end of the week you'll…

If you are a complete beginner then you will put on more muscle more quickly. If you eat too many calories then you will mostly put on fat. 3000 calories may be too much, or it may be not enough, it depends how much you are burning off.

So you're saying creatine is a drug? I don't know what defines a drug, that's what I'm unsure of, but everyone else seems to know for sure that creatine isn't one, and I'm just wondering why.
-
-
So why are steroids drugs but creatine isn't?

Count calories for one day, and then all you need to do is simply eat exactly the same thing every single day for the rest of your life.
-
I blame Ireland. I'm sure both look good, so just go for whichever you find more comfortable.
-
This is all very far from the truth.

As the person above said, you can't target belly fat specifically. Toning the area will not promote fat burning in that area. No particular foods will help burn belly fat either. You lost inches around your stomach about a year ago because you were 'doing light exercise and eating right', not because you were eating an…

If, by the end of the week, you have burned off more calories than you have consumed, then you will lose body fat. Simple.
-
Often when people think that they have entered "starvation mode" or damaged their metabolism, it can be simply that they are consuming so few calories that they no longer have the energy to fidget, and are burning off less calories as a result.

Ok everyone, you've been discussing this for over two pages now. Can someone just give me a definitive answer: Do I have to eat the egg yokes, or do I have to eat just the whites? Which is it?!
-
Could be that your calories are too low, you aren't consuming enough carbs, or you were exercising on an empty stomach.
-
I'm pretty sure chocolate mice, cake, etc., don't taste like egg yolks. If they do then I'd make a complaint to whoever is making them.
-
Artificial sweeteners are worth cancer if they mean I can get a six pack. Also, you should never put sugar in your tea, it ruins it.

Loneliness.

Before everyone tells OP to start taking medication, she hasn't stated that she has actually been diagnosed with depression, and may instead just be unhappy about things in her life.
