It's great fun! I'm afraid I really don't have any tips as I'm no expert, but I've found if you try and vary the direction you throw it around you, and use a weighted one it's more challenging. If you have one you can add/take out sections, adding more in is going to make it trickier too.

No. But realising that I can achieve something that previously felt so completely out of my control and reach has made me completely re-evaluate and acknowledge the fact that I am stronger than I thought, and capable of so much more than I realised. THAT makes me happy.

I haven't come across gym snobbery before, hehe. I chose mine because it's in the next building from my flat, thus basically free. I leave for work at 7.30am, and get back home at 6.30pm. I have a 20 minute walk each way, and about 3 days a week after work I go to the gym before I have my dinner. I work out about 45 minutes cardio each time and 15 minutes weights once a week. On Fridays I do my weekly shop, and more often than not will go by the pool…

I'm 5'4" and my current goal is 145... At the moment I really just want to reach a healthy BMI. I'm 23. I think once I get there I'll re-*kitten*, but I'd be happy with around 130-135 I think. Feel free to add me, would be good to be friends with people with similar goals!

Not really advice for getting started the first time - but once you've done it you'll feel great knowing that you're on your way to/at work with most people around you having just rolled out of bed... Knowing that you've been for a run and had a nice hot shower seems so much better when you've got the rest of the day ahead…

I'm 5'4" and currently at 169. I started at about 182 back in June/July. Initially I was swimming twice a week and walking a bit every day. Now I'm in the gym usually 4 times a week, and swimming (further & faster) once a week. I have my calorie intake on here set to -1lb per week, but I don't think I average that really.…
