I dreamed about them last night. Tossed in a little olive oil with fresh rosemary, garlic, sea salt and roasted. If they're bad for you, I don't want to be good. Plus, they are easy to grow and do well in my climate. It's the rich toppings and huge servings that do you in. Not the humble, nutritious potato itself.

Pilates! I love pilates. Planks are helpful. Yoga is really excellent for balance. I was struggling with a weak ankle when I ran and eagle pose has gone a long way to resolving that. My gait has evened out and I'm not in pain.

Pink Lady and Honeycrisp are very good. But my favorite is Gravenstein.

This is starting to make a little more sense. Roundgal is absolutely right, not all practitioners are good at what they do. Your doctors are there to diagnose, advise and assist, it isn't their job to make decisions for you. You need to understand EVERY medication you take and why. You need to understand the possible…

4th Horseman!!

Waiting for the 4th horseman of this thread.

I understand completely how you feel. I started running 3x a week and when I went to weigh myself, I gained 10LBS in a few days. But, my body measurements have not gone up, they're still going down. You're actually making good progress, don't rely on that scale for reinforcement!! It's just a data point. KEEP GOING! This…

I thought this was going to be a controversial existential thread. Disappointed. I'm here because Fitday broke and I needed a way to log my food that the kids couldn't take and draw unicorn wars all over before leaving it in the backyard overnight where it gets rained on and is completely useless thenceforth.

LOL This thread looks legit.

It depend largely on the kind of relationship you guys have. My husband is opposed to tattoos. But my husband knows better than to tell me what to do and I know better than to tell him what to do. Open, honest and respectful communication will get you through the tattoo debacle.

There is nothing at all wrong with taking a break. Best way to avoid injury is to find your limits and respect them.

Pickled and dried daikon radishes. And I LIKE radishes and pickles.

Take along enough for an extra meal and a snack in case you find you are gone a little longer than you expected, or in case you find you are a little hungrier than you expected! I don't know if you have ever backpacked in winter, but you will probably be burning more calories. When we camp in the winter, we eat a lot more.…

I think I can understand where you're coming from on this. If the fear of gaining weight is holding you back, I think it is wise to wait. One thing to keep in mind. You will never know real fear until you have children. If you think a fear of gaining weight and the anxiety that comes with it is bad, just wait until a piece…

Washing Soda!! I got the smell of puke baked in a hot car out of a blanket by soaking it in washing soda for a day. Rinsed with vinegar. Works for urine odors too. Best of all: It's cheap.

Good advice. My weight fluctuates daily and the obsession over THAT NUMBER on the scale has discouraged and derailed many people. Start taking measurements.

Nearly everyone has them. My husband even has them!! They don't make him less attractive at all. Love yourself, be kind to yourself. Congrats on the weight loss! That is a big accomplishment! You've won the war and you have the scars to prove it.

Don't go cold turkey. Wean yourself off. Make a plan for drinking less over a period of time. There will be more to deal with than the headaches before it's all over.

This is accurate.

*heart* Unfortunately, two of my children have a sensory integration disorder as a part of their autism. The texture of some foods make them gag. Cooked vegis make that list. They love them raw!! I often incorporate purees into our food to make sure they're getting their nutrition and because some vegis are just not good…

Yes!! We'll all get there one day. I love that movie.

I developed it when I was pregnant and yoga helped a lot. I went to a free class to support a friend who was undergoing cancer treatment. The poses were beginner and very gentle. I was surprised afterwards I could stand and walk without pain. The chiropractic treatments relieve pain, but they are temporary. Yoga prevented…

Congrats on what you HAVE lost though, that is an amazing accomplishment!

Exercise is enormously helpful. I have been able to avoid medication by keeping active and having a supportive family and spouse. That isn't to say I'm cured of anxiety or depression, but it's manageable I have found that the natural world is a reservoir of calm and peace for me. When I need a break I go outside. I step…

I had a bunch of rewards in mind for every 10 pounds I lost. But, once I got there, I was just so happy about my accomplishment that buying whatever thing just didn't shine as much. So I've got my eye on the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The kids have been wanting to stay at a Great Wolf Lodge and I haven't felt…

I had this after my last child. What I did was lie down and suck in my belly button in as far as I could (visualizing touching my backbone with my belly button) and hold it as long as I could. Mine is closed and I have no problem doing crunches, pilates and other core or ab work. I actually didn't realize what the problem…

I'm logging. But I'm blowing my calorie goal out of the water. Yes, let's.

Well, this would make feeding the hummingbirds, making sugar wax for my legs or exfoliating scrubs 100% less convenient. I probably go through a pound of sugar I never eat just doing those things every week. OMG. Can you imagine? Behind the counter with the liquor, the smokes, the lottery tickets and the decongestants . .…
