  • what kind of bike do you have? if it's not a recumbent you should be abel to go to a store and get a larger gel seat, I have a recumbent and I use it at least an hour a day so i got some seat cushions and put them on it to make it easier on the tush :)
  • I use them a lot in place of soba noodles to make asian soups or in place of rice in stir fry. They definitely have a different consistancy but really no taste on their own, the absorb most any flavor they are cooked with
  • it's not easy but I think you can get used to it once you get a good routine going. I do a 30 minute workout in the morning before work and I have to leave the house at 4am so that means I get up at 3am so I can get my 30 minutes and shower in. It was pretty tough at first but I am used to it now. Then I do an hour of…
  • exactely what aj said, there are a bunch of different whole meal breads in the database and they all seem to be about 65 calories per slice, an estimate is always better than nothing :)

I also do an hour of cardio in the evening (stationary bike), I can usually get this in by…
  • The database is pretty good so I would put in whatever you actually have. That means you can actually put in the brand of bread and how many slices and it will total the calories. for me I use slim buns, deli flats, depending on the type (white, wheat, etc..) they are between 80 - 100 calories for both halves.

  • I really appreciate this post and the related article. I have been thinking that something was wrong with me. Istarted trying to lose weight about a year ago when I went to the doctor and weighed in at 248 lbs, he also told me my cholesterol levels were high for my bad and low for my good, I had a vitamin D deficiency and…
  • most spices, basil, etc... are zero calories or close enough to not matter so really you only need to concentrate on the "larger" items, tomatos, onions, etc...generally it makes it pretty easy just total up the ingredients and go from there as far as portion size.
  • I use a regular "tupperware" container but if it is soup or something liquid I also put the container in a gallon zip lock bag to make sure it doesn't leak
