Returned from vacation - with too much extra weight...Didn't walk as much as I had hoped due to the heat, but did a bit of climbing. Now the challenge is to undue the damage!

Planning a vacation next week up in the Golan Heights. Am a bit concerned about tracking the calories, but might be better off shifting my focus to tracking steps! Plan to do a lot of walking.

Special dietary needs? I'm sensitive to lactose (not full-blown intolerance) - not fun on Shavuot! I can tolerate goat milk products, but not sure how to make that work for cheesecake. Just as well, I guess. We'll probably have fish, salads & a kugel. The killer is homemade challah - yum!

Is this active? I keep kosher. Holidays & Shabbat are a real challenge. Anyone have any good tips how to avoid noshing on Shabbat afternoon?
