I wet my hair in the shower, use a heavy conditioner and a swim cap. I rinse my hair and condition it after my swim. My hair dresser said the most important part is wetting it first before going in the pool. The hair absorbs the clean water not the water with chlorine.

I use socks made with wool. Even in the summer heat, I have very thin running ones. The wool wicks away the sweat and my feet feel dry and comfortable. When I use cotton socks, my feet feel sooo sweaty and gross.

Wild turkeys. Especially when a flock is crossing the road and individuals can't decide whether to cross or not in front of you and you can't decide whether to continue to run. Another hazard - acorns! It's like trying to run on marbles. They also scare the heck out of you when they fall and hit you.

I live in New Hampshire and there's a lot of good hiking. I recommend looking for books on hikes near you. They usually rate the trails easy to expert. They also give you lots of information on what to expect on the trails, estimates on how long it takes to complete it, etc. We especially used them when our kids were young…

I'm doing my first sprint in a month and I know I'm going to have to read all this great advice again - and again.

I ride and I definitely feel like I've been working out (especially on those nice long rides). I use " motocross" listed in MFP exercise.

I have the Polar FT4 too. Now that the snow has finally melted off the courts and I'm going to try and see how it works out.

I'm not sure which is healthier - so will have to do both! Entered the "Will Run for Beer" series this year

I live in New Hampshire, so I really know the cold. I highly recommend merino wool socks - like Darn Tough. There expensive but they keep your feet sooo warm! You can find them for half price at Marshall's
