It's a workout group. They're 8-session camps, and I'm in the middle of boot camp #3. (I skipped September.) At the beginning and end of each one, we do a fitness assessment. A couple of weeks ago I learned the hard way that it's getting too cold to run in a tank top. Today I learned that I had better start running earlier if I want to finish before dark. Pretty soon, it'll be dark when I'm done work so that'll be the end of outdoor runs for the year. :grumble:

Remember that the 5 minutes is a freeform run, so don't feel you have to run the whole time. And yes, she does count down during the run/walk drills as babyshme says. Success! I did the Week 3, Session 3 run today with no pain!! 3.98 km in 46 minutes :-) I bought a pair of Saucony Hurricane 15 runners. I did as you all suggested and slowed down considerably. I feel like I'm jogging at Zombie speed, but it has really helped with the breathing and the pain. My boot camp instructor also…

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I did Week 1, Session 1 last Sunday. Not bad, but breathing was tough halfway through the walk/run part, and I couldn't run at all during the free-run.
