  • Opinions are like A-Holes. We all have both. There's nothing rude about making that statement that reality TV is worthless.
  • The thing they're doing wrong is broadcasting it for millions to see. If everyone stopped watching that mind numbing garbage, then it wouldn't be put out on blast.
  • Those people aren't doing anything wrong. Stop watching reality TV and feeding the maddness.
  • I get in about 60-70oz a day.
  • This is a pretty good place to start.
  • No way dude. I see those people, and it's motivation. Like the first time I stepped on the scale. It wasn't a number I wanted to see, but it got my motor running so hard.
  • I check my weight everyday, only because I'm trying to document how my weight fluctuates throughout the week. I've seen gains, and losses as much as 7lbs throughout a given 48 hour period. The weight I typically record on here is the weight I get on Monday morning.
  • Best thing I can advise you to do is stick with it. I'm in a similar boat. Around January I started getting heavy into diet and excercise. I found that the weight melted off me at first, but then around mid-February, my body started to adjust to the new foods, and work I was putting into it. But since then (around the…
  • You came to the right place. MFP is awesome for helping any kind of person, lose any kind of weight, and offer support in the mean time. Good luck!
  • It's all about you at this point. What everyone else is doing doens't matter. Just know within yourself, that even if you plateau, you can still do it, and can still have a lot of success. Good luck!
  • The estimation you get on this website isn't fully acurate just based off the fact that people lose weight, burn fat, and gain muscle at different rates.
  • Go with 5-6 smaller meals in a day. I do that and drink lots of water in between. I eat a lean protein, and a carb at every meal, and add a vegetable or fruit at my big meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) I'm never hungry.
  • I'm a big guy, 6'1 around 285, so I allow 2000 calories in my diet everyday but I workout everyday as well. I do body for life, so I take in 5 smaller meals a day, and use all the food as fuel to burn off in my workouts and throughout the day. I am supposed to put down 6 meals a day, but I haven't been able to eat that…
  • I keep it pretty simple. I eat at least 5 times a day, 6 if I'm not too full. I have a protein, and a carb at every meal, and add at least 1 veggie to 3 of the meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The first thing I switched up was drinking diet soda. I'm a soda drinker, chronically. It took me about two weeks to not be…
  • In my experience, you have to have at least a day where you give yourself a break. Don't worry about dieting for one 24 hr. period and just do what you want. It's just a matter of getting into a pattern. You can't undo an entire week of working out and dieting in one day.
