  • I'm a teacher, too and contribute most of my headaches to my 7th period :). I've suffered with migraines/tension headaches for 16 years. I noticed a really bad one after my first Zumba class. Now I don't do any of the turns or spins and keep my head still; that helps b/c my equilibrium gets off bad and that can trigger a…
  • I burn about 300 calories for 30 minutes on Just Dance 2 using my heart rate monitor. I like to do the shuffle mix so I don't waste time picking a song and also to change things up. I got mine for the WII at Best buy for $40.
  • That's a great show! My kids used to watch it a lot... I wish they still would. To original poster: you have to do what you love. My Mom and 2 of her sisters went to nursing school in the 90s because there was a shortage in our area. Now they are all burnt out on their careers. My cousin is a radiation therapist and hates…
  • I went to a Zumba class with several co-workers today. One, who is very athletic- runs 5k's, etc- wore a heart rate monitor which showed she burned 880 calories during the 1 hour class. I created my own exercise category for it.

  • I made my own category for Zumba. I take a class and burn about 800 calories. It will be different based on age, weight, and heart rate but I would say 600-800/hour is a good estimate.
  • I have Just Dance 2 for the Wii and love it! My kids and I do it together. We do 30-45 minutes a day. I put it as 'dancing general' for my exercise but not sure the calories burned is accurate. I'm thinking of buying a heart rate monitor to get a better count.
  • I substitute spaghetti squash for pasta, hummus (Sabra brand roasted red pepper or spinach and artichoke flavor) on whole wheat crackers or as a dip for veggies), and my new bff- pickles (no calories, fat or carbs!). I cook a chicken and spinach dish- basically cook the chicken and spinach together in a covered pan with…
  • omg girl you are cracking me up! I was never able to find anything supportive. I had a reduction last year; best thing I've ever done for myself.
  • I guess my problem is I get bored with things quickly. I have a treadmill as I stated and I do listen to music while I walk but fade out quickly. We bought a Wii Fit and I used it a few months and the fit board has since been under the couch. I have a few exercise dvds and worked out with them for a while now I don't know…
