Happy Friday to all! What a week and I am not sorry to see the weekend!! Fun for all!

I love all these posts! I just turned 65 and really feel wonderful! It has been a long journey as my BP was so high in my 50's that I basically stroked out. I still need to lose 10-12 lbs. but that isn't my main focus. My goal is to continue eating a healthy diet and maintaining a healthy activity level. Age present some…

I am interested in trying this. Any tips I need to know to get started?
-
Please add me! I need a challenge to get me through the first of next year.

There is always the tried and true jump rope! It burns a lot of calories but you may need to start with intervals.
-
I'm in.

I loved the show! Carrie has always been one of my faves as well as Keith Urban, Luke Bryan oh and all of them!!

I have had some success with WW in the recent past but I went back to MFP because the data base was so much better. WW did show me how to plan my meals around veggies and still feel full.

The calorie content can definitely be based on the food package. Also MFP has a great data base so if you don't have the label you can find an equivalent in the search.

I got a new scale a couple of weeks ago. It is a Renpho smart scale. So far I really like it and it syncs with my apps. It also calibrates immediately which my last scale did not.

I like the discount places like Ross, Marshals or Bell Outlets.

Planet Fitness Pros: Cheap Plenty of cardio Clean Limited Assistance if needed Cons: Not enough equipment for strength training

I like fresh berries, pears, pineapple and tomatoes with my cottage cheese! (Not all at once!)

Never give up. This is a journey so we just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Way to be resilient and committed! I pray for your success!!

Buy the premade salads, there is microwave brown rice and most grocery stores have rotisserie chicken. Take off the skin and cut it up. Ready to go.

I love my Fitbit Blaze! I'm happy to friend anyone.

I would check my total scores against the benchmark and see what the total percentage of wake time is. If you are in the total range I would not be too concerned. I would definitely share it with my DR.

What an amazing group of women in this thread!! Prayers for all that asked for them. I am new to the group and have gone through an emotional roller coaster for the last 4 months. The only thing I can control in my "new life" is my attitude so I am doing something positive and logging into MFP regularly and getting myself…

The heart rate is definitely stress induced and the calorie burn is probably correct. I went through a very stressful time over a period of a month or so and found the same readings you are having. Unfortunately I was eating a lot of comfort food and not exercising but I still lost 5 lbs. Go figure! :)

Hello all. I will be 62 next month and "enjoy" this same struggle. I have 15 lbs. to loose and have been working on this for a year or so. I had a major set back this past September and am just getting back on track. I can use all the help and support I can get.

I only need 15 but will join in.

Mapmyfitness has a GPS and should be pretty accurate.
-
I have the Peak Basis and love all of the data. The drawback is the limited ability to sync with other apps.
-
That's sounds like a doable plan! Thanks!
-
It's hard to get back on the horse but do it! I've fallen off twice this year and determined to do better! You can add me as a friend if you want.
-
I have a Peak Basis and like to be able to track my activities related to the calories burned during the that time. The FITBIT with the HR monitor had been recalled or I would have purchased that one. It is smaller and syncs with MFP. It is nice to know just how many calories you really burn.

I'm a grandma of 2 and working on 20#'s. We all need encouragement and accountability. You can add me!
-
This is all good info and appreciate all of it! Thanks!
-
Thanks for the assistance! I have found myself in a new role that I may be out of town for a week at a time. Sometimes the dinners are hosted and I have no control over the menu. I certainly can understand the water issue!

Good planning and all of the above. Keep your eye on your goal.
