Absolutely it is an addiction! In many regards (for me) battling food addcition has been tougher to get over than one other addiction I had in the past. The reason? You can't just go without food. We need it to survive. I go to over-eaters anonymous for support. It's not only hugely obese people who attend either. Several…

Thanks for sharing this. I was just saying how I am never satisfied with my appearance but this sort of puts it in perspective. Personally I fit in the 25% and though I would love to be lower I have an idea of my outward appearance. I still feel like I'm the 50% group though. :/

Did you know it is possible to be overweight, even obese and still be malnourished?

It is flattering to be "noticed". But when it happens I pretend I don't hear it or notice it. It's funny beacuse at first hubby was excited at other people looking at me but now I think it's too much for him. I will continue to reassure him that he is the only one I want. Eventually he'll get, hopefully. BTW you all are…

Great job!!! What an inspiration to those of us in our 30's to get out and just " do it"!

Kick up the calories for a few days and just go for a moderate walk on those days. Then return to your current plan of eating healthy and staying active. Sometimes our metabolism needs a jump start.

Well that is an interesting though. Good job on your LOOOONG walk. I hope you allowed yourself some carbs following the walk.

I think it has been proven that sleep deprivation slows down weight loss. That is why shift workers (nurses, police, etc) who work nights are at higher risk of obesity and developing co-morbidities like high blood pressure and diabetes.

I don't measure consistently but I think measuring helps me to see how much exactly a serving is.

Just keep active. You have your youth and your active lifestyle that will help minimize the loose skin issue. :)

I completed my log and went straight to the fridge for a piece of fruit and some almonds. :( I do it but I know it only hurts my long term outcome.

Daily. Every single day before my shower in my birthsuit. :)

You're probably not doing anything wrong. You've hit a plateau and it's normal. Decrease your carbs and kick up your cardio for a few days to a week. Hang in there and try not to be discouraged.

1200 may be too low for you. Consider going up to 1500. Make sure you're getting enough fruits and vegetables but especially calcium. You're 19 and don't want to have osteoporosis in a few years. If you're exercising then 1200 cal/day is definitely not enough. Be patient with yourself. :)
