  • Any of you can add me! I'm 32 and mom of 2 boys. They are 11 and 13. I lost 50 pounds or so, then got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, had to relearn how to do some things, then we moved 700 miles away so my weight loss fell off track for a couple years. But, i'm back now.
  • I have MS too. And, I fell off the exercise wagon right after the diagnosis (and hospitalization) but, I'm trying to get back into it now. Feel free to add me as a friend, if you want.
  • I have MS, which tends to act up if I get too hot. And, I live in GA. So, I wake up early for outside stuff. I do a lot of youtube videos in my family room with the AC on!
  • I weigh basically the same as you. And, I'm about the same age. I took my before picture this morning too. You can do this! Add me if you want!
  • I took the summer off, and it was a really bad idea. I'm back at it. I'd love to have more friends on here!
  • Yeah, I didn't like having fitbit and MFP synced. So, I always put in the exercise. 30 min jog with fitbit? 300 calories. 30 min jog logged here, without changing the calorie count? more like 650. Same thing with Zumba. Fitbit shows 400 calories. MFP shows 950. I just log the fitbit calories.
  • I do Zumba off YouTube, and I've lost about 20 pounds this year. Sarah Placencia is my favorite, but, sometimes I'm looking more for a song I enjoy and then I will try anybody's video.
  • On the weekends, I either change my calorie goal from -2 lbs a week to -0.5, or maintain. And eat that. I've been able to stay on track, and not undo my work. I'm not losing as fast as I could, but, I'm not gaining either.
  • I started trying to lose weight again, about the same time that I found out I was vitamin D deficient. I started taking a supplement, and worked to lose weight. And, it fell off. I told myself it was water weight. But, I'm thinking most people don't have 20 pounds of water weight. ;) I kept at it. I got frustrated with…
  • I'm definitely a mom. I have a tattoo. And my ears pierced. My nose piercing I need to re-do. Do I count?
  • My diary is open if you want to add me as a friend. Though, you might have to go back awhile, I've earned a bunch of exercise calories recently. I'm at 1440 a day, but, if you get rid of my wine in the evening and the small bowl of pretzels I'm at 1200. I made a mexican turkey frittata, and I've been eating that for…
  • Exactly. I acknowledge if I was trying to lose 50 pounds, with only exercise it would be very, very difficult. But, if I can exercise and gain a small snack, while counting calories, it is much easier to stick to, and I'm happier. I don't feel deprived.
  • I have the Charge HR, I used to have the One. I loved them. I don't really think they are super accurate, for example, on Friday I had 12,000 steps in fitbit, but only 7,000 according to my phone. Something is not right. But, it is accurate enough. The scale keeps going down (60 pounds now!) and it is motivating. I have 5…
  • I've spent a few years letting my weekends undo my progress over the week. I'd go out for a nice meal, then throw up my hands, saying "I've ruined it now! Why bother?" This time though? I have my goal set to -1.5 pounds a week. And, Mon-Friday I do really well.On Saturday and Sunday I change my goal to either -0.5 a week…
  • 5 days in a row I walked 10 miles. My husband wanted to help me off our trampoline, so I walked to the edge and sort of, fell, over his shoulder. He lifted and said "How much HAVE you lost? This is much easier than it used to be."
  • I weighed 218 at Christmas, this morning I weighed 190. My husband is the only one who has said anything, and i think that's only because every day I'm like "look at me! down another half pound, can you tell yet?" lol It's getting discouraging.
  • My husband usually leave on Monday for work and comes home on Friday. Every Friday for 2 months he's come home to a smaller wife. He came home early today and actually noticed.
  • 2 day in a row now I've walked just over 10 miles.
  • You know those folding chairs you see on the sidelines at every 5th grade soccer game? I bought myself one years ago. The big one. Super wide seat, holds 400 pounds. And, years ago, I sat comfortably in it. Yesterday, I took the boys to soccer practice. My husband had put the folding chairs in the trunk, but not my big…
  • I'm feeling similar, I've lost 20+ pounds since Christmas, and...nothing. Nobody has said a word. So, I'm frustrated, but, I'll keep going until I find out just how many pounds I need to lose before somebody asks.
  • 58 down, 50 to go
  • I log daily. Well, I weigh daily, and my scale automatically uploads it to MFP. I do much better at staying on track when I weigh daily. I like seeing the fluctuations, I don't worry so much when it goes up a little now, because I have months of data that show a trend going down.
  • I had to argue with a guy yesterday that I was 10 yrs older than he thought. :) Today I had to buy new underwear because my old ones were sliding off. I also have a pair of jeans I bought that were too small. The beginning of Jan. I couldn't get them up my hips. The beginning of Feb. I could, but, they didn't button.…
  • That's great. I started at 250. Today I'm 192. I'm just a bit over 30-I'm 31, but I'm not going to spend my 30s morbidly obese.
  • Add me! I love making new friends.
  • I think when you say "no thank you" and give a reason, that invites people to argue with you. If you feel like arguing, go for it. Most times though I just take the food, smile, say thank you and drop it in the trash when the attention is off of me. You can also say "I don't eat XYZ, and you are being rude right now." I…
  • I commented a long time ago, when this thread was new. Then, health problems (a completely unexpected, quite advanced diagnosis of multiple sclerosis) led to a loss of motivation, and a fear of what I could safely do. This past Christmas I was in my basement and I just kind of collapsed. My husband was down there with me,…
  • I weigh just a little less than you, but, I started on Christmas day. I've lost 14 pounds since then. I'm not complaining, it seems fast. But, I figure it will slow down eventually. I may as well enjoy it while I can. My goal at this point is to lose 50 pounds, but, technically I could lose almost 100 and be at the very…
  • 2 adults (one SAHM, one husband who mainly works from home) 2 preteen boys, and a large dog. We spend about $150/week. I shop around, last week I went to 4 stores! Luckily, they were all right in a row. I mainly shop around the edges of the store, dairy, meat, produce.
  • It is a slightly aggressive goal, but I think you can do it. You aren't 112 pounds trying to lose 3 pounds in (almost)2 weeks. I have recently started focusing more on mini goals because 50 pounds sounds like a lot...5 pounds 10 times? I can do that. So, I have a goal for Valentines Day. I'm not losing "for the holiday", I…
