Before I got my heart rate monitor, I adjusted the calorie burn by subtracting 100-150 calories. I've had my heart rate monitor for almost 7 mths, and have found I was right on target - MFP over estimates by about that much!

I soooo needed this today! I was feeling annoyed that I have "only" lost about 30 pounds in a year through cardio and some serious strength training. I needed a reality check to remind me that I'm stronger and leaner than I was when I lost 40 pounds 5 years ago. Thank you!!! :)

Wow... I definitely find this discouraging... Having said that, I am more motivated and working harder than I EVER have before to lose weight and get into shape. I sincerely hope all my hard work and the change in my mindset/diet/lifestyle will help me beat those odds!

I wish I could help, but it's a question I have too! I use the recumbent bike for my cardio because I am having issues with my knees and hip and the treadmill is too hard on them. Hoping someone comments and gives us both some insight! :)
