I know that when I hit a plateau I go to a two weeks of 15 -20 net carbs. But normally I prefer to be around 50-60 carbs. Under 13 months I have lost 157pounds I consider that to mean it is working. I have had cheat meals...and do not gain. Because I know how to be healthy and still have fun with my food.

When my 5 year old pointed out that I was too big to go down the slide with him. He said he was sad and wished I could. Turned my life around 154 pounds lost in little over a year...I sure do fit down those slides now just fine!!

I do low carb. But I do not follow Atkins or South Beach 100 % but I do watch my carbs. 150 lost and counting! Its a good way to go!

I agree you need more calories and more protein. I would aim for more like a 100 a day. You can have lean meats and veggies. But no carbs is also not a really good idea. You need color in your diet and to get that you will have to have carbs.
