LOL.... weightlifting/strength training can be a huge asset to looking superfine if done properly. This is pretty motivating: http://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/comments/19kzd4/21f_8_month_powerlifting_progress/

I am 5'1 cw 145. (Lost 20 lbs since Jan 1!). My gw is 115-120. Anything under 110 and my boobs go bye bye...and that is unacceptable. This is my official new motivation: http://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/comments/19kzd4/21f_8_month_powerlifting_progress/

Totally inspirational. Thanks for posting! I just started keto and will move on to paleo once I hit my gw. Love to read these success stories.

I don't know if this technically qualifies, but Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred is pretty awesome.

Chocolate raspberry...yum!

Here's a list of yummy items with low carb counts you might find useful: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ah8MbmZepQxWdGo4bnB2QmxxMUlmTzZUTXYzMURRLWc#gid=0 This is from the keto diet. While you don't have to follow it, this is a great list of delicious and healthy substitutes you can use in your own diet. Note:…

Slow cooker bread. It exists. It's easy to make. Yum. http://busymomsmenuplan.blogspot.com/2012/07/how-to-make-homemade-bread-in-crock-pot.html

You could try mixing in a tablespoon or two of oat bran with your greek yogurt. It will keep you full longer. Works for me!
-
Great job! Beer is (was) my foil. :)

I would invest in some 3lb weights. The 1lbs are just too light, especially if you are doing most of the video with the 5lb ones.

I did ripped in 30 right after 30 day shred last year and it was great. It was a good way to keep up the momentum.

I was about to post a reply to this thread...but the above quote sums up everything I was going to say! 1100 calories of real, nutritious food, is perfect with exercise and doesn't leave me hungry. I guess that the point is to listen to your body and your nutritionist/doctor rather than relying on a computer program.

It seems that for almost every food, there are people who praise and villify it. Go figure...go bananas!
-
Awesome! Running a 5k this year is definitely one of my goals. Congrats on your success!

If you haven't bought a Wii yet, you should take a look at the xbox kinect. I just got one for xmas and LOVE it. It really gets the blood pumping.

I switched to the ah-mazing HooRooRook noodles. Delicious and not fried at all. Only 300 calories for the whole package too. I found them at HEB and they are a $1 a package. Never going back to regular ramen again. Here's a nice blog post about them here: http://www.lisadang.com/2010/11/hooroorook-ramen-noodles.html

I just started and on Day 3...it's a great workout!

I am newly addicted to munching on a whole grain waffle + a smear of peanut butter. A bit under 200 cal but good to keep you full! Love your before/after pics Sherry!
-
Dark chocolate to the rescue. Delicious and good for you. 1000 calories does seem a bit low, btw. Might want to aim for 1200 or consult a doc.

Gain about 5lbs on birth control or 40lbs of baby off of it. ;)

I am doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and it's pretty awesome at toning. My husband described it as P90x for beginners just last night.
-
Count me in next week. Gotta finish up 30 day shred first!

I second the comment regarding it's "what" you eat that makes the difference between feeling full or starving. 1200 calories of fast food doesn't even come close to 1200 calories of healthy food like grains, fruits/veggies, etc. A couple of weeks ago I ate a 600 calorie chick-fila sandwich and was immediately hungry…

I am on day 11 and have lost 3lbs. (At the same time gaining muscle!)

Welcome! Let me know if you have any questions about using the site. Thanks for signing up. I can use the motivation!

Feel free to check out my diary too. 1200 calories of healthy food feels great. But I already know that it's not going to look so good tonight. I have beer in my near future! ;)
-
I second the comments about your food diary. Your progress is being hindered by what you eat.
-
I think I read about people tackling it all sorts of ways. I just started and am planning on doing it 30 days straight, in ten day intervals. Day 4 - done!
