Use this http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ and answer the 6 questions. Eat the amount of calories listed where is states "Daily calories based on goal in step 6". Good luck!

I love how you've been on a diet for like a hot second (3 whole days) and have the huevos to dismiss the sound advice of multiple people who have been successfully losing on mfp for 1.5 years and more. Why would anyone give you advice?

I have lost 35 pounds (I lost two before staring mfp). I was carrying a 40 pound bag of cat litter into the house yesterday and was shocked how heavy it was. Wow...how was I lugging an extra 35 pounds around for so long?

What an amazing story!! You are so awe-inspiring!! Congratulations :)

Congratulations!! Your hard work has definitely paid off....woohoo!!

I have three cats...one 13 pounder and two ten pounders, so I have 33 pounds of cat and have lost 33 pounds!

I purchased a Taylor Scale from Target for approximately $24. It measures in different units, is very accurate, and doesn't take a lot of room on the counter. Since I would assume there are different models, mine is small, gray in color and has a round glass flat top for placing your items on. Just flipped mine over and it…

Peanut butter is the best thing in the world....eat that. You could also try hummus with veggies, granola and fruit with nonfat milk, a small tortilla roll up with cheese and turkey, an egg on toast, avocado and cottage cheese...trust me there are a gazillion things you could eat. Good luck....you must eat to lose.

Congrats on the 34 pound weight loss. In addition to those that you have listed...a few musts for me are: 1) weigh daily 2) weigh all my food on a food scale 3) Accurately and honestly log all food

Woohoo!! Bravo for a job well done!!

Ha ha ha!! Maybe I need a new poster in my classroom!!

So are you saying this is exercise....can we add "Picking Boogies" to our existing routine? Would this count as strength training or cardio?

Ha ha ha!!

Powerful...thank you for sharing this. Much love on your continued sobriety.

I have learned that: * real food in moderation is the only way to make this journey sustainable. * my mfp friends are pretty darn awesome. * real change doesn't happen overnight and it's okay. * I am not a bad person because I tumble and fall foodwise on any given day. * logging my food is very eye opening. I so appreciate…

I love a big breakfast and would become a serial killer without it. I need sustenance in the morning! My hubby, on the other hand, rarely eats breakfast and loves a big lunch instead. Find what works for you and just stick to it...Good luck :)

I put on two pounds by Christmas, but have now gone down 3 as of January 2, so I am overall down one pound (which never happens)!! Pretty proud of myself. In the past, my normal gain from Thanksgiving Day through New Year's Day has been 8-12 pounds.

No one said a thing....but my teenager was quick to break my heart with her honesty. Teenagers are cool like that.

Perfection!! Ha ha!!

I once went to Staples to get school supplies for my kids. I took a shower, did my make-up and hair, and looked...well..acceptable. Once I got there, however, I was getting oggled left and right by men of all ages and women. It was like I was the hottest thing on the planet. Instantly my confidence was at 1000% and I…

This!! I am a high school math teacher, thus I wave my nerdy freak flag freely. I will seduce you with my awkwardness!

I have learned the hard way, like you, that a salad doesn't mean low cal or lower cal. If I can, I look up the nutritional facts ahead of time, so I can plan accordingly.

My tea has no calories...so no I do not log it.

Wow!! Congratulations...you look great!!

The shorter and more southern sounding version of "admiring"....I think.

Great reminders for those of us who have been on mfp for awhile and amazing info for all the newbies who will be arriving soon. New Year's Resolutions anyone??!!
