  • Thanks for this. I kept losing the same 5 or 6 pounds (195-200) and started to give up. I would spend a few days not caring and then realize I didn't want to hit 200 again and try to be good for a few days. I wanted to stay in Wonderland. Ultimately, I didn't...and today I am at 202, but I have found some renewed spirit…
  • I did the same thing. I had a great 120+ day streak, lost almost 20 pounds and then I missed a day of logging. For some reason, losing that streak made me mad and I just went AWOL! It took another 2 months, but I finally started a competition with money with some of my co-workers because I was desperate for a reset!…
  • I am much shorter than you at 5;'3", but a starting weight of 214. I am currently at 196 and still going with over 100 day streak. I fall down, but I log everyday and I am not giving up! My goal weight is set at 140 for now too. Good luck to you! ETA: spelling
  • I am an insurance agent and I have classes on my lunch break at a local college. I bring my lunch everyday and I have a few cans of soup or a lean cuisine that I keep here in case I forget or if I just don't feel like eating what I brought. I also keep my entire overhead storage bin full of things to eat. Popcorn, soup,…
  • Family pictures where my double chin had seemingly engulfed my entire face! My commitment came from stress though. 3 jobs, 2 kids, going back to school, the threat of losing my full time job due to them losing big accounts, etc. I just decided that this was something I could control and something that would be just for ME…
  • I think that is how I will maintain. I am still early in the journey, but as of now I find it so easy to stay within my limits during the week with planned snacks at my desk, but at home around my family on the weekends is much harder. I never know when we will go out to eat, etc. I have found things at restaurants that we…
  • I've lost 18 in about 90 days, but I have been semi sabotaging myself lately so it probably could have gone further had I not had some "off" weeks/days in there, but I am in this for the long haul with no real goal dates so I just keep picking myself up and working on it. I think if you start now, whatever you lose will…
  • I did this last weekend. We had my husbands frat party reunion. We had a nice dinner and a few drinks and we all headed to the bar. I managed to not drink any more at the bar, but when we left we went to McDonald's. It was already 11:30 pm so I just logged those calories on my breakfast for the next day so that I could…
  • Congrats! You rock! GO BUCKS!
  • For me I have made it a challenge. What I put in my mouth is the one thing I CAN control. When work sucks (daily!) or I get stressed I want to dive into every snack I can find, but then I am letting others control me. When my kids are screaming or I have a project due, same thing. I log food, I stick to my log and I see…
  • Some things are so hard, but others are becoming easier. My co-worker brought in Daylight Donuts Chocolate Chip Cookies - still warm this morning. I knew I was going out for lunch with a friend so I was able to pass without much 2nd thought. Other days that isn't as easy though. I love chocolate, but since I don't eat as…
  • Awesome! I just moved into Obese, I guess from Morbidly Obese. I can't wait to just be "Overweight" GREAT JOB!
  • My husband has an account here on MFP. He logged like 2 days and never again. Each time I fit in smaller pants or talk about my losses...he asks me about it or asks me about getting "Daily Burn" on HULU started for us. Other times he gets mad at me for weighing my dinner at the table, but there are small interests popping…
  • I watched a show about a 600 pound woman who had gastric by pass. She went to a family reunion after she had lost about 200 pounds and I noticed that all her family was very overweight too. They were so proud of her and so concerned about her, but they were all unhealthy too. It was just "normal" though. Our society is…
  • I think of this a lot as I raise my two boys...there is a fine line in making sure they eat enough so they aren't asking for a snack in 5 minutes and forcing them to eat past when they are hungry. I was also made to clear my plate most of the time and so was my husband so it is a hard habit to break. I am currently working…
  • This. I can be my lowest weight on Friday and be up 5 pounds on Monday just from what I ate on the weekends! I get it back down by Friday again, but it starts all over. I am pretty much at maintenance by doing that. I have to check my weekends to make forward progress happen again. I would watch out for that.
  • I am getting better now and I could probably buy a big bag and choose to just eat a serving, but when I first started 100 calorie packs, etc really helped me because I could eat what was in the bag and no more. It helped me to figure out what fits in my day and how much I really should be eating. Now, I often can buy *a…
  • I don't restrict quite that much, but I do use dinner as my large meal. I have a large non calorie counting husband and 2 growing boys at home so they eat a lot and sometimes we might go out to dinner unexpectedly so I like to leave 700-800 calories left for dinner most days. Then I can enjoy whatever we eat and still be…
  • I eat it every morning for breakfast. The cherry is my favorite, but I also eat strawberry, blueberry and raspberry. The pineapple was not good to me. It is extremely filling!!
  • I am in the same place. I am a rock during the week. Logging, weighing, resisting temptation, but the last couple of weekends I have crumbled for no real reason. I have been really proud of myself for jumping back in on Mondays, but my weight fluctuation is like 5 pounds because of sodium, margaritas, etc. It will go away…
  • Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. I lost weight on the "cleanse" part of the challenge, but it is so hard to stick to. You can't eat like 20 different things, choke down 17 different pills 3 times a day and I was miserable. I like some of their products individually like the Spark for energy or their Omega 3 supplement. I…
  • I love this! I am not smaller yet, but it took me a long time when I got bigger to start picking up the bigger clothes. I would try on my old sizes and not realize I needed something bigger. I can't wait until it is that way in reverse since I have finally gotten used to XL and size 18. I want to be able to put them back…
  • Greek yogurt Bananas 100 calorie wholly guacamole!! Wheat thins (to dip in the guacamole) Thin mints Mushrooms Eggs Popcorn Lean Cuisine String Cheese Pears Frozen Grapes 90 Calorie Fiber one Brownies/Cookies
  • My husband and I are seriously discussing this. We only have HULU and NETFLIX for TV so this seemed like a great option for us both to use. I am so glad to hear you like it as I think we will have it by the summer. I am a committed daily logger on here and even with my goals set for a pound a week, my overall average has…
  • This is approx. my 60 day progress. I am on day 71 now!
  • I do the same thing! In the bathroom at least once an hour with all the water. I do some body weight squats or wall push ups or something like that. I know it doesn't really burn a lot of calories, but it adds up and it gets me moving and re-energized from sitting at my desk.
  • I have the implanon thing now too. This is my 2nd time. I do feel like I am much more susceptible to down's and negative behavior, but I have been able to lose weight without any issue by counting calories alone. I do not have a cycle at all.
  • YAY! There are cute mini chocolate - St. Patty's day themed cupcakes in our work kitchen. I haven't even let myself look to see how many calories are in them! WALKED AWAY!! GREAT JOB!
  • My increased water intake sends me to the bathroom once an hour or so. It is so close to my desk and the only one we have so I have started doing 5 squats and 10 wall push ups while I'm in there. Takes an extra 30 seconds or something, but my thighs are already burning (just started yesterday).
