Congrats on your amazing weight loss; so impressive! I admire your commitment and perseverance. Welcome to the group; although I don't contribute much, I enjoy checking in. I'm 66 and have been a yo-yo dieter for a long time. I like to think this is the last time. So far, so good! I wear a FitBit, which I love; do a…

Good idea. I'm Lois.

The only Stephen King book I've ever read is 11-22-63, which I absolutely loved. (I actually listened to it; the narrator was excellent.) Do you think The Shining & Doctor Sleep would be good ones to read next?

Welcome. This is my second go round on MFP as well. The important thing is that we try to learn from past mistakes and we don't give up. We can do this!

I'm really enjoying this topic. So many interesting women I'd like to be friends with. :-) My name is Lois and I've lived in Wisconsin for the past 34 years (previously PA and Vermont). I'm married with three grown kids and no grandchildren. I love dogs-- I have three--and nine years ago I turned my passion into a natural…

Congrats! You are awesome! Thanks for sharing your inspiring story. It was so well-written; have you thought about starting a blog? One on maintenance would be great. We all know what a scary place that can be! I'm still working on getting to my goal, but already nervous about failing yet again in that next step.

My name is Lois and I'm from Wisconsin. What a great group!

I'm in. Passed 50 many moons ago but hey, it's only a number. I try not to concentrate on my chronological age but rather how I feel. Works most of the time. :-)

Sounds worth checking out. Bump.

Stationary bike! Great idea. I'll compare that with HRM. Thanks.

Very informative. Thanks for posting. Bump.

Hey everyone, Let's get started! Wishing you all good effort and good luck. Starting Weight: 148.8 GW: 145 I realize it doesn't seem like much of a goal, but 145 by Labor Day has been my original goal since the beginning. I'm sticking to it for now but will probably change post-Labor Day.

I've downloaded the app and really want to try, but I just don't believe I can do it. I've never run in my life and I'm 64. Are there any older runners out there to encourage me?

I'd like to plug away with you guys if I can still get in. Let me know. Thanks. BTW, I'm originally from western PA.

This journey is so unpredictable. We just started a major house remodel and I have no kitchen. Cooking and meal planning have become hit and miss. I was hoping to at least maintain this week and, to my amazement, I've lost 1.5 pounds. YEA! I'm guessing it must be stress. :-) One more week to go. Good luck to everyone.…

OK, here we go. This is Challenge #3 for me; started with St. Pat's Day, then Easter and now Memorial Day. Love these short challenges! Good luck and good effort to all. I had a great week this week; was shocked when I got on the scale. My goal is one pound per week, which has been good for me. Challenge SW 159 WK#1…
